- I dont think the vocals arent that bad, i think the reason for the hateful comments is that mabye its not suitible for a metallica cover...mabye it could be more usefull for bands like Green Day or Sum 41, although i dont know much about them haha

- Try having less gain and more bass on all the guitar amps for a more metallica sound
