SD70 IC are still out there for dcc you want to add the tsunami version for the 710 emd engine on the sd70.Replace the lights with LED because the decoder will blow the manufacturer supplied light's out.

@DieselSmoke92 athearn never made them with DCC, it would be very hard find cuz they have been made in several years

It'd be cool to buy one of these and change the cab then say it's an SD70M. I've always wanted to see what an IC SD70M would look like.

As far as I know, since that is an older athearn genesis, it has a board you have to take out and replace. Be sure to use resistors for the lights unless you use the TCS decoder!

They should be DCC ready all atearns either Athearn Ready to Roll or Athearn Genesis will be DCC ready with the plug inside of them. I am still 50/50 on DCC myself. I just started puttin' kadee couplers on my locomotives. LOL
