@ladykiller85 Is it fun? I bet so.. I live in Turin Italy and i'm doing ice sledge hockey as a university subject, we tried to play standing hockey and we'll go for the sledges soon to get the differences between the 2 things. Motor sciences is my university. Bye
Fucking awesome. It's really inspiring to see that because of a disability, they still don't give up...and it's as exciting as normal NHL games. Props, guys.
Sledge hockey is just as exciting as the NHL ... I caught 4 games at van2010 and all are on vid on my channel including Canada vs Norway Bronze medal game.
I agree with you Papa.. Despite how uneasy I feel sometimes watching this because of how much empathy I feel for these people I still hold great admiration for them to do something like this instead of folding the tent. One thing I do have a problem with is the NET, it shouldn't be the same size that an able bodied goalie defends.. Its almost like the players just have to shoot high in order to score
we do...... and usually under the sled also... but you have to be care not to get your puck caught..... its not as easy as you think to shoot up high...
@PapaSuckle55 Paralympics Vancouver 2010 opening ceremonies were on Friday - so plan to see some relatively soon, if you haven't already. Like it showed in the footage, Canada were the 2006 champs.
I play the sport myself, due to a minor disability that has made me unable to balance enough to learn how to skate. And it truly is a fantastic sport. I have chosen to take the season off because of University, but am planning to get back into my sledge soon! :)
Kool vid, I play sledge hockey on a team called the Elmvale Bears
