If you watch the "Everybody Here Wants You" documentary, he pretty much tells the interviewer at the very end that he personally doesn't want to be remembered for anything. He just wants the music to be remembered.

Of course if you keep listening, you discover that that's completely false and there's something truly remarkably unique there. The recording of "Corpus Christi Ca" was probably the song (though a cover) that really opened me up to understanding his music - - -

Possessions didn't hold the same weight to him that they do to most people and so if he wanted to go into a river with all this clothes and boots on then dammit, Jeff was gonna do it. @s1ygirl Yeah, dammit...but it turned out to be a fatal bad decision.,that has nothing to do with possessions...He just wanted to set his own rules and do what he felt like when he felt like..., In all his bios, seems like his friends were a bit worried at that time about his mental stability and all the pressure of releasing a new album. Foti's story as well seems quite incoherent at times...we will never know. Nevertheless, he will forever live on in our hearts as the greatest of all time!!

Ok, I have to sound off on this one. Amazingly, I had NEVER heard Jeff Buckley until about a month ago. A mix CD was given to me. I fell in love with the song, "Lover, You Should've Come Over," without ever seeing what Jeff looked like. After buying more of his music off of iTunes, I realized what he looked liked, and found out he was gone from this world. (I know, I've been under a rock) It was the beauty of his lyrics and the incredible angel's voice that did it for me. His music is magical.
