i understand and mostly agree with that, but Vapor Trails was mixed way too loudly and the guitar was way too distorted and the whole album just tended to crackle and spit through most of the tracks.

even the pursuits in the new hot pursuit are not as intense, back in hot pursuit 2 helicopters dropped bombs and shot missiles, and plus the split screen mode was one of the best things in that game and they got rid off it in the new one

yeah yeah.. back in the day electronic arts made GAMES and they knew what made need for speed what it was. after that it got worse and worse. what they did with hp3 is unsatisfying. right now i am playing TDU2 (atari lol!) and it feels much more than NFS than any other recent NFS game from EA.

sidenote: the graphics on nfs hp 2 were and are very good! they even got "realtime" reflections on the cars.

@mooglepower100 that's more or less the difference between arcade games and racing sims, I've played every NFS game since NFS:HP2, every Forza and a variety or other Xbox based racing games. Arcades tend to have a much higher sense of speed, turn better, more easily oversteer (drift) & with more control and flashier cars. Racing sims like the GT series will be more vanilla (less of everything I just mentioned) though will sport more realism (i.e. understeer). I'll stick with FM3 & both NFS:HP.

McFlaren F1 was my favorite car. I would outrun the cops or knock them out all the time. One time the cops were so desperate to catch me they glitched the game and hit me with a rocket. The blast made my car flip over and slide on the top right into the finish line!

GT5 is terrible. It's just GT4, with some more cars. Not even good cars, just more base cars. Although I do like the go-cart races, lol.

Forza 3 was fantastic when it came out- it copied GT a lot, but it did such a better job.

No, I did play it. I waited a hell of a long time to play it. I loved that freaking Kevin Butler ad where he explained how awesome it was gonna be. Then I played it, and it was identical to GT4, which I was playing up until a few months from GT5's release.

For someone who's hasn't played GT4, and doesn't mind "ok" graphics, GT5 is a good game. For me, it was just the same game as the one released 6 years ago.
