A child needs discipline,,,spare the rod spoil the child. The intension is never to hurt the child but to determine rules and boundaries. Physical discipline is never the ideal but it is not the same as physical abuse. We really do not know if Michael actually suffered malicious and dangerous physical abuse or was being disciplined for episodes bad behaviour or disobedience. The key thing for me is tat his brothers do not see it that way..and acknowledge their Dad's discipline .

@ourmjfantasies they were always trying to out preform each other while they were in the Jackson 5. At first Marlon couldn't dance or sing very well, but kept practicing and was actually being a competition for Michael. The book I'm reading talks all about it. Marlon and Michael, along with Jermaine are/were my favorite in the band.

Oh Yea! I knew there was one Jackson Brother that didn't get divorced. Marlon was cute when they were little, but it was akward cuz his Afro was tiny and everybody else's were normal size.

No because Michael transcended them all in every aspect of music. Michael may not have been the best singer of the family by far, but his dancing, innovation, overall talent, and impact on the whole world was what made Michael unique. The Jacksons were great, I love their music. But they started out as a group and were so accustomed to it. They couldn't breakout like Michael and Janet did. It's always been like that. Look at Beyonce's success compared to her former group members.

It means that Michael is the best but probably not by a long shot in pure vocals alone. There you go like so many others taking something out of context. I'm still shocked over the passing of MJ to the poing that I'm here on youtube defending his person to my best ability, but failed to humble myself after all the tension. But I'll add to say that Michael will be the best by far of the family without any competition to come after ward. I say that to conclude in confidence knowing that the voices of song (singers) influences, in this time, have been accomplished. Uniqueness in song is finished.

Wow that was a first...Michael Jackson may not have been the best singer of the family by far...are you implying that the Jackson 5 launched his creativity and talent...if you think so then you're wrong. Michael was already a talent when he was born...the Jackson 5 was introduction and when he went solo that when he broke out his shell and became the best entertainment that ever graced the earth.

A child needs discipline,,,spare the rod spoil the child. The intension is never to hurt the child but to determine rules and boundaries. Physical discipline is never the ideal but it is not the same as physical abuse. We really do not know if Michael actually suffered malicious and dangerous physical abuse or was being disciplined for episodes bad behaviour or disobedience. The key thing for me is tat his brothers do not see it that way..and acknowledge their Dad's discipline .
