This reminds me of the novel Flashforward by Robert J. Sawyer where the LHC causes an event but not precisely of doom but displacing human consciousness 20 years into the future for about 2 minutes, very original. There's also a TV show loosely based on the novel but super entertaining.
@alnetworks2010 Me personally I hope they fail in their quest and never find their higgs boson/ Even if they "fail" it would teach them something and put them on a different direction. Do you know if the LHC is fully operational now?
@komoriaimi I have no idea, bro. But I can bet they will never synthesize or isolate that non-existent particle. And if I think so, it's not due to follow Stephen Hawking's thesis, who refers exactly the same conclusion. I have my own idea about the extreme danger inherent in LHC, and it was acquired by other means.
@mafiouso I personally don't believe any real Truth nor answers can be found by such a method and we've lost the plot - I mean them, because no one asked each one of us in the planet (nor all other beings and nature for that matter) whether it would be OK to play with simply "hope" for the best or if not curiosity to see what happens as many scientists have publicly admitted.
This audio hurts my ears and head.

@komoriaimi Me personally, I don't like this experiment... at all.

@mafiouso certainly "change", point is how, whether good or not.. and if we should be playing gods like this in this scale in the first place.

@mistresspav I personally think that you hit the target twice:
1) No one asked each one of us in our planet whether it would be OK to attempting this play... for the best reasons.
2) Or if only curiosity to "see" what happens, might be the main "goal" on this experiment.
2)
