First of all he played more games than Gherig and bats higher in the order so you are not comparing the same. Also big deal the only November HR, what does that mean? Just because the WS was delayed a week he should get credit for that? That is a lame stat to keep. Also you should say that Derek Jeter and the NYY are the only team to lose a WS in November, right? he`s the most overated shortstop in m.l.b history, i mean the media never looks at or talks about his numbers, they only talk about his heart or "there`s something about jeter" anolagies. there are way better ss then jeter, but they get less acclaim because of there lack of rings, or they play in a smaller market then jeter. an jeter is about 6`3 210, pretty big for a ss, but he is one of the, weakest hitting ss in the m.l.b.

In 2001, baseball was delayed due to 9/11. Thus, the world series was held in November for the first time. At midnight, October 31, the first (and prob last) November baseball was played. Minutes afterward, Jeter hit a homer. He had the first and only homer in November. A rightful title in my opinion...
