  • Hello. Forgive my English but I wrote in my language and I did translation with Google. I am from Greece and I love very much the Colt's. Specialty antιques.i have some pieces but my best is a navy colt 1851 London in excellent condition. Congratulations to the many good videos. your knowledge is invaluable. Thank you very much!

  • @leveraction1000 Thank you for the comment and thanks for watching!

  • Gah, I love the 1911 . . . The lines are perfect, the slimness of the slide, the roundness of the trigger guard, how easy it is to draw the pistol and sweep the safety off, and the smooth slow recoil of the .45ACP throwing a 230 Gr. Ball round downrange at 850 FPS . . . Old slabsides will always be my heart-throb.

  • Very educational! I love it

  • love it! keep up the great work. P.S. how do you remember all this?

  • @IsbianBlackheart a lot of reading reinforces the historical facts plus hands on examination really makes it sink in to understand each change and development. thank you for watching!

  • @TheDishD Thanks for commenting and taking the time to watch!

  • Do you think one could make a 1910 replica from 1911 80% frames and slides?

  • @TheHiddenPart one probably could, but they would have to be a heck of a craftsman.

  • I never heard of anything before the 1911.They never mentioned it on t.v with THC.Thats awesome that you do

  • How much a 1910 prototype would cost in today's money? Great review and looking for the next one.

  • @NeptuneBlueZ A 1910 sold at auction a few years ago, well over $250,000. I don't know the exact price. Thanks for watching!

  • great review and awesome pieces of weapon ! 5* and fav !!

  • @hatsan38 thanks for watching!

  • any info on Lugers bid for the contract

  • @paintballdude902 Luger had performed well in the 1907 Pistol trials, but his pistols required a special gun powder available only in Germany. Savage was selected over Luger, but Savage stalled on responding to the request to provide pistols. A Luger rep. accepted a contract for 200 field trial pistols, but Mr Luger cancelled the contract. Savage ultimately got the trial pistol contract, and the pistols were problematic. Luger was never considered again. Thanks for commenting and watching!

  • @MrColt45acp ok thanks

i knew luger had 3 pistols produced in .45 (2 know to survive 1 is the million dollar luger the other is in very poor condition in a museum ) thanks for clearing that up

  • It sounds like the '10's were mostly prototypes. Do you know of any surviving examples?

  • @taofledermaus Yes, there are a few. One sold at auction a couple years ago.

  • this video fits your name pretty well.
