  • What synth is this?!

  • @mmazz414 Roland RD170

  • The best cover of this song! :O

  • That was awesome but I laughed at the end lol

  • Super tight! My fingers always cramp after a minute of playing that.

  • It's easy enough to learn the tune with enough hours of practice but it all goes to hell when you try and sing along

  • AMAZING DUDE! YOU ROCK

  • How the..?

  • do u have the sheet music for this?

  • Well, I suppose you and Matt can play it... and no one else.

  • @slipknotmaggot4eva1 Haha. Matt's never played it

  • @Bodrochowski

Well, he has. He played it as an outro to Citizen Erased on the Absolution tour. Also, who the hell played it when they recorded it?

  • Sweet Lord baby Jesus.....THAT WAS AMAZING!

  • You impressed me enough to watch it again, I am thoroughly impressed.

  • very good except the ending, inspire yourself and make an outro on your own, or copy the guitar chords to piano, this will sound quite nice

  • lol no one can play that last part it doesn't matter

  • It's a shame that theres a cut at 1:43 but i appreciate your fingers must have tons of cramps by that point ;) pretty impressive :D

  • hey hilightnotes actually plays the melody with it. it's a similar but i like hearing the melody personally :) check him out.

  • well... that just fucked my head

  • the acual song obviously used a arp so they just had to hold the chords, so great job for playing it manually

  • If you watch muse play it live, you'll see he doesnt use an arp, he plays it all on the piano AND sings at the same time.

(they probably used an arp for the CD recording, but thats just to make it sound more 'perfect')

  • you obviously haven't watched Muse live

Morgan plays it (not sure whether he uses an arp or not) and Matt sings but does not play piano (he plays the guitar later on)

he has played it as an instrumental interlude on piano though, but not with vocals

  • What do you think about the Roland ? Im thinking of buying one .

  • holy crap. AWESOME!!! i could never play like that!! great job!!

  • I can play up to 1:45 , every thing after then is insane. Really good job! Funny at 2:18 you pretty much just didn't bother with last bit, that bit is just stupidly hard

  • Nah it isn't, it's just an arpeggio - I just couldn't be bothered playing it 'cause it's repetitive... the bit after that though when teh guitar kicks in, yeah, that's more difficult, but still playable

  • Yeah !! Fucking Great dude

  • TUTORIAL PLEASE?

  • OH..this..is awesome..Bloody amazing man

  • thats pretty damn impressive :D

  • i'm speechless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Great job.... nothin' to say ! :D

  • LOL

  • cool! can you butterfly and hurricans?

  • yes I can butterfly and hurricans

  • HAHA

  • How long haVE YOU been playing? this is just amazing!!!

  • Wow, that's really cool! Can you send me the sheet paper?

  • do you have perfect pitch? out of interest:)

  • nope

  • has anyone got the sheet music for this? AMAZING.

  • Fucking hell, I'm impressed. Is that a Roland you're using there, and if so, what's the model#?? That patch you had was pretty damn good too; you customize that or was it stock?

  • cheers, RD170 (don't recommend buying one), attack strings at 50% vol w/ electric bass?? at full vol

  • very good work !!!! excellent !!!

  • 1:41 onwards EPIC the sheet music hasnt even bothered to put the ntoes in :/ did u learn that bit by ear?? cause that IMPRESIIVE

  • nope had sheet music

  • :o i have the sheet music !! instead of putting 1:41 onwards in it just decided to put the bass instead :/

  • PERFECT, I can't find another word to describe it

    Five stars!

  • Haha *claps at the end* pretty awesome :)

    (Y) I might give this tune a go :D

  • Awesome

  • Can you give tutorial or link to some tabs of this?

    Amazing!

  • dude two words

    fucking amazing

    haha

  • i wanna seem somebody do this on a guitar with sweep picking...idk if possible but would be cool

  • its tabbed out if you buy the book. i did. but you have to admit, that the piano/keyboard is the instrument of geniuses=]. it has a fuller sound for if your playing by yourself. and now the way you can play with multiple sounds at once, you can get such a huuuuggeee sound. it really can be quite impressive=]

  • you play this REALLY well, with surprising regularity.. to think muse used a synthesizer or whatever, and yours sounds JUST LIKE it but with YOU PLAYING it! that takes control.

  • It really should be done with an arpeggiator - its the proper way, and its also a lot easier. Still, if you didn't mind doing all that work, it was an excellent cover.

  • I know how it's played - but music isn't about 'making it easy to play', that's like saying you should get a MIDI mechanical piano to play Liszt because it's 'easier'

  • You are absolutely right - music isn't about 'making it easy to play' - i agree completely with that. Bu maybe you missed my other point that using an arpeggiator is also the proper way. That's how Muse do it, so tell them your little speech too.

Actually, using proper synthesizers and arpeggiators to play Muse songs like TaB and Bliss is the fun part - it's all about playing around with programming, not just 'playing' songs.

  • I know that's how Muse play it, yeah. I guess I just twitch when people put the word 'easier' in anything to do with artistry, haha

  • Yeah, I understand mate. Good job anyway - your keyboard's tone sounds just like Take a Bow too!

  • Cheers! yeah it's actually a double bass sound with attack strings in the background at about half volume...

  • splendid !

  • Hey BOD , great video , but what synthersiser are you using ?

  • Roland RD170

  • AHH!! really bad forearm cramps I bet!! awesome video!!

  • haha yes!

  • PLEEEEEEASE! you must do a tutorial please!!!

  • Tutorial!!

  • rubbish

  • Hahahaha, you little troll - and you have the nerve to say I do 'nothing but make videos all day in my Mom's house' - and so what you're doing now is credible?

  • Let's see you do better then...

  • yeah murder that keyboard in the end! brilliant performance though

  • Fucking epic

  • could you do tutorial?

  • i second that. you should totally do a tutorial.

  • Whoa, how did I miss this before? Nice job, I've seen Muse a couple of times here in Seattle and they stand as one of the best I've ever seen live.

  • im from seattle too...when did they come and are they coming again??

  • Hey man !! Awesome !! And wich tone did you use for this song ...

  • D is the first note in the left hand, and the right hand plays a D major chord the way you see.

  • i like the ending... i admit... i lol'd

  • niceeee.

  • This is fucking mint. You should upload some piano performances. You used to have "presto agitato" (Beethoven) on here, but you deleted it. Would like to see it again.

  • Comment removed

  • amazing, dont suppose you could upload the root notes for the bass?

  • dude.....would you be able to do the whole song with the actual ending to it? it sounded great and if you could have the whole thing on here then that would be freakin amazing!

  • could you possibly do the whole song on here?? that would be soooo amazing dude.

  • Amazing

  • Nicely played! Especially as you're actually playing it rather than most of the other people video'd who seem to have somehow chanelled it onto the keys. Can you play any others? Hysteria seems cool.

  • Awesome man, I thought you were going to go into the mad arpeggios at the end, but no one can play that shit.

  • whats the name of that synthisizer???

  • is tihs how matt did it?

  • Matt probably did it this way, though possibly for accuracy used a arpeggiator.

Live it is done through a sequencer that Dom controls.

  • Wow man, I'm impressed.

  • what setting are u using to mimic the sound that close

  • who else can hear a ghostly matthew bellamy singing this with him?

  • I hear too..sing along whit him:P

  • Seriously dude, where did you learn that?

  • nice! :^)

  • Brilliant playing...just wow :)

  • Hey, dude!! Sorry to tell you that that way, but you fuck, you put off your video of the moonlight sonata part three. I'm talking about the one you played at home, it's better than the one on the stage. Send it please, i really liked it!

  • great.

  • what are the notes and timing or rythym for the right hand or wat ever at the begging

  • For the right hand, start with any major chord and do the triad for 4 measures. Then raise the 5th (augment the major) and triad it for 4 measures, then go back to the major. Then raise both the 5th and the 3rd of that major (makes a minor of the previous major's 4th). Then the next major becomes what that minor was (or raise the original's 5th yet another step). Then it repeats.

So starting with C, it goes Cmaj, aug Cmaj, Cmah, Fmin (3rd inversion with the C as lowest note however), to Fmaj.

  • whooooaaaaauuuuu

    tocas muy bien el pieno

    enserip

    me encanta esta cancion

    ahhah

    adios

  • What setting are you using on your keyboard to mimic the sound so closely?

  • b e a utiful

  • where can i find sheet music??? plzz help

  • damn youre good!

can you do a tutor video or something? or the same video in slow motion, i can only play the intro and the first chorus, but the bridge is tricky. i try to learn it by watching your video and then i walk up to the piano to play it, but it's damn tricky.

  • lol if you had a drummer and a bassist you could play it better that muse :) bah what am i saying? you dont need them, you are perfect alone!

  • very good! :) you play very well! i caught a little how to play the notes, but you're too fast :P It must have taken you quite some time to get that fast. A tutorial would be much apreciated, though

  • cool, human arpegiator

  • sweeeeeet!

  • I won't even look at another video. I already know you play this intro the best.

  • amazing :-O

  • Wow, You're really good!

  • How did you learn to play that?

  • WOW!! What a soung !!!!

  • skill

  • That was awesome!

  • wow.

  • thats sick

  • hey, love ur videos, wat is the name of your synth???

  • completely awesome

  • tutorial, please?

    =D

  • i agree or like notes for it please

  • ya tutorial

  • That was INCREDIBLE :) I will try doing smth similar when I get back home and have enough time to play with my synthesizer.. But my fingers will never be that fast!!

  • Ending is priceless.

"Doing great. Oh yeah. Perfect! Oh shit, little slip up. Oh, that was bad. AH FUCK IT! jnjkvnjkd......Ta-daaaaaaa~"

Amazing composition though. Flawless, omitting the obvious flaws.

  • I couldn't have said it any better lmao

  • YOU RULEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • I actually think Matt composed this with an arpeggiator, so.. well done mate

  • I agree. Well done.

  • amazing!

    i love 1:43-2:05!

i can play the melody on keyboard too but just with both hands without the bass line :DD

    great job

    MUSE rocks

  • You're a living synth machine dude. I just creamed.

  • its been edited, still good though

  • AMAZING!!!!! a tutorial wuld b immense id love to b able to play it this gd

btw, what happened to the video of you playing moonlight sonata? I can't find it anywhere on your page, did you delete it?

  • Amazing! Really, really good. But you should've played it complete. :/

  • that is sexy (Y)

  • Genius! 5*

  • Holy F*CK! Your sound is exactly the same as on the album!

  • Pretty intense! amazing though!

  • Ah, I was singing along the whole way through! You played this STUNNINGLY! I give it 5 paddles out of 5 and my own personal HOORAY!

  • its kinda sounded so easy for me...

O.o but now that i saw you playing it

you just killed all my hopes of playing it my self u__u

  • God... that can't be true..... W.O.W

  • lol!!!!!!!!!

    xdxdxd great great!!!

    absolutely great

I wish u played in my band...

PS: plz, improve the end ;)

  • i love the ending..

  • Thats's brilliant.

  • sick shit

  • woooow!!!

  • can u teach me how to play it? lol

  • Absolutely amazing. You're a beast.

  • Rawr.

  • legend

  • wat a nutter lol :) nice one.

  • mafew bee wud b so prud of dis m8!

By the way, I like the cut at 1:43 ;)

  • You mean you noticed it? I wasn't trying to hide it...

  • If Bellamy is incapacitated and Muse need to play Take a Bow; you!

  • Hahaha, even though it's Morgan and the synth that play it..

  • nope in take a bow dom plays it ;) watch it live

  • oh yeah actually, well we're both right, sometimes morgan plays it, others dom does - depends on the setup. On the BHAR tour Dom was on that podium, the synths were on the other side of the stage so Morgan was playing those.

  • ok, didnt knew morgan played it sometimes ;)

  • actualy they both play it at the same time. i think dom plays what your left hand is playing and morgan plays what your right hand is playing. dom has always had the synth set up behind his drums.

  • At Wembley, no one played it. Dom controlled the filters through his setup behind him. Morgan wasn't on the stage, so thats a trigger.

  • actually i think the thing behind dom is a drum machine so he can set his click track properly for himself and everyone else playing the songs. morgan triggers the sequencers on and off stage.

  • nice playing... and thanks for not polluting it by dubbing in the actual CD track as some people do (like it's a stupid Guitar Hero video.) anyway, kudos.

  • WOW!!! It's PERFECT! That's incredible!

  • Awesome that!

  • Very well done!

  • Muse would be PROUD! nice work!

  • I noticed the split!

but over all I love it!

    great job man!!

  • it might help to get a arpegiator, lmao

but that is really hard to do so welldone

    u have skill!

  • perfect

  • I love it, simply love it.

  • omfg :')

i love you JONNY OMG YOUR NAMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEE
