how heavy is the pellet your using in grams? 1.3? I have a B4 underlever .22 and this looks like just the upgrade im looking for! is it available in the UK?
Have you had any trouble with it not fully cocking? Mine did it twice this morning. Like something was blocking the lever from moving all the way back. Thanks.
Yeah i was hearing that eun jin pellets are to heavy for spring piston guns, and can cause too much back pressure on the piston damaging the spring...but since i have a .177 and this same power plant is used to propel a .22 pellett i dont why using an extra heavy .177 to compensate for the smaller caliber will hurt the powerplant? if again the .22 version is using the same powerplant but just a bigger barrel
@sharpshooter383 I can, without fail, understand your concern. As a side note, the .177 caliber air rifles, by default nature, tend to be more accurate compared to the .22's. I would choose pellets for accuracy. Gamo, Beeman, RWS and other select manufacturer's make pellets for a variety of applications. Some of these pellets even come with those explosive tipped nylon points. I would consider your options. Hope this helps some > :-o)
@sharpshooter383 a 177 spring is slightly higher power in comparison to a .22. this is because it takes more energy to propel a pellet through what is a considerably smaller bore. think of it as a water jet, the same pressure through a small hole (jet) as a larger hole will, increase the back pressure and burst seals and so on... its basically the same with spring piston air rifles. pellet size should make no difference given you use the right caliber.
@sharpshooter383 What I would recommend is that you make sure you have a drop of oil in your piston lubrication point. I would make sure your barrel is fairly clean. Other than that, I see zero problems with using the *Uen jin Xtra heavy pellets. If you can get them to fly straight for you, this is all that matters -->> ;-o)
i have this gun in .177 its very nice but i wish i got it in .22 i was thinking though that maybe if i use the eun jin super heavy .177 pelletts that i can get more power out of the gun to make up for the smaller caliber
@sharpshooter383 I elected to go with the .22 caliber RWS simply because I wanted to use more pellet weight. I never shoot at anything much past 60 yards to begin with. None-the-less, most air powered rifles sold are in the .177 caliber class. Thanks for the comments and review :)
@OregonBackpacker Well air powered rifles certainly "have their place", so to speak. The cost of the pellets is another favorable factor. Thanks for the review and comments :)
@GT03235 I appreciate the review Gary. This particular video production was a tough one due to the close angle and slow motion editing and capture sequences. Thanks for the review :)
@BuschTukkerMan You probably get a much better deal on these RWS pellets than what I do. Please be aware that some of our sporting goods stores DO carry lots of pellets for air rifles, but not the kind that I like. I get them at Cabelas and they cost around $15.00 for a can of 500 pellets. Thanks for the comments :)
@BuschTukkerMan I paid about $450.00 for that rifle if memory serves me correctly. I have owned it for a few years now. It is German made as you may know. Thanks for the comments :)
@lmister1 This is good to read. I am sure that you enjoy it. Yes I remember you. In addition, RWS makes a few models of these air pellet rifles that are much more expensive compared to the model 48. Thanks for the review and comments :)
@08EJH79 I appreciate the kind comment. Yes it is very safe for me to state that massive man hours went into the production of this particular video :)
@didgerod Well in my humble opinion, these type of rifles are a good alternative to rifles that use gun powder, primers, casings and bullets. Thanks for the review and comments :)
@spearmintmonkey I like the neat little signs here. Also I appreciate the review of this particular movie file. Lots of work went into this production :)
@phgHunter Yes and I had forgot to mention the fact that these rifles can be used for just general CHEAP target practice. Maintenance on these air rifles is very low and 500 pellets cost a wee bit less than $15. Thanks for the review :)
Very nice camera work. Great entry/exit shots, and a nice dish of scambled eggs. BTW, I just can't get enough of that beautiful Montana scenery! Thanks once again.
Jim, Thank you very much not only for the tutorial but your service to our country. I'm a recent retiree and watch you on blogtv almost daily. Take care.
@k9zodi Well I appreciate the kind comments. That Vietnam war (in my humble opinion) was a damn mess. Under the circumstance, I did the best I could, all factors considered. Thanks for the movie review as well :)
@revron77 I appreciate the review and comments. However, RWS makes air rifles that cost much more compared to the model 48. I got about $450.00 wrapped up into this one :)
@DREDD2001AD That's a real good idea. I had dreamed up quite a few alternative targets, but eggs, toilet paper and small plastic water filled bottles was the best I could do. Thanks for the review and comments :)
wow Jim,, this is barclay89 from blogtv,, how are you?,, sorry i haven't been on your channel in a long time,, ive been working and shit,, do you play modern warfare 2 on the ps3
@89barclay No I am just afraid that I am not much of a Gamer. However I do own a Ninetendo WII and a 360 X-Box. I really NEED to get back into more gaming, however I am on a MAC computer so I would rather use the consoles :)
@knikula In my humble opinion, these type of rifles are grossly over looked. They are very affordable to shot and CAN be very deadly, depending upon brand name and setup features. Thanks for the review :)
nice shootin'...very informative...and I'm reminded to pick up some eggs and toilet-paper...also I'm not as afraid as I used to be about the smiling egg attacks like the Great Egg Uprisings of 1632.
@gboy1973 Well to be honest, I had to rack my brains trying to figure out some kind of CHEAP targets that would give me good fast and slow motion visuals. Thanks for the review :)
Hey Jim, thanks for the new upload. It's good to know if I ever get attacked by a gang of evil easter eggs, I can defend myself with a rifle like that. Hope you are enjoying your week-end. Cheers.

actually i think hunting with air rifles is more effective than using a rimfire for small game hunting. But that is just my oppinoin. Jesse

MrJumBow 1 year ago
@MrJumBow hey Jim yeah i had a 22 caliber air gun before.
And here you can buy the pellets in the store easely, i dont have to order them at the internet.
I don't know what they cost these days, the pellets i bought in a little metal can like you, i paid around the $6,00 for 500 pellets i think.
