not much info online on the snouted night adder-Causus defilippii ? are they hard to come by ? if they can be found for sale whats roughly the cost if you know. anyhow would love to see some footage of it when you get some time cheers..

@robbieghilltop Yes they are hard to comebuy, therefore expensive. Nightadders are pretty much the same...frog or toad eaters that you can switch to rodents with a little patients. Buy some snake books.

We did salvage it with a longtail boat through the mangroves and caught 2 1.5m+ mangrove snakes (Boiga dendrophila melanota) and a 2m reticulated Python though. When you visiting Thailand? I figure if I ask you enough - eventually you'll book a trip. Working your subconscious...

Finally I couldn't stand the suspense and wrote. He wrote back - his son was in the hospital about 14 days I think it was. Pretty much OK now - not completely yet. Out of danger of dying though they believe. So, that's cool. The guy gave me no info on length of bite, size of snake, etc. Will write him for more info now that his son is OK
