  • Pleasing, pleasing sound :))

  • Old P&W JT8D's....great engine, but not very fuel efficient. CFM56 series is a much more modern engine, far more fuel efficient.

  • @meccaturbo indeed, let me ask you what engine being used in today's USA's commerical airlines would be the most efficient? I think its 737 but im not sure lol

  • @speeddevil2193 The CFM56 engines used on the 737's are extremely efficient. They either are the most efficient, or close to it. Award winning partnership by GE and Snecma of France.

  • @meccaturbo ah i see.... haha thanks for your opinion!

  • bom video gostei !

    ( Brasil )

  • Boy, I sure do miss the sound of those engines! Nice and loud, right next to you when sitting in the back of the plane!

  • watch my tribute video of Boeing 727 Recommended for fans of BOEING_727 LIKE ME

  • Gotta love those JT8D's. Best sounding jet engine ever made.

  • @bamaslamma1003 No I think that is the Kuznetzov NK-8 or Soloviev D-30-KU

  • It'd make my day to have this as a soundpack for FSX :-)

  • 1969!!! wow....good vid by the way

  • Hey Caipiroska, please watch my videos. Some of them suck but please rate and subscribe

  • Is this the "original" 727? The engine looks quite close to the wing, so I think it's not the 727-200.

  • Yes it is, it's 727-100, built in 1969.

  • How do you know that it was built in 1969? I never found info about the production date inside the aircraft or did you ask the pilot?

Well, I took the route CBB-LPZ twice in 2003, also with 727-100 of LAB taking the first flight in the early morning out of three daily flight they once made.

Love the old Boeing machines also Aerosur stuff!!!!

  • @WolleKing There's plenty of sites online where you can research the history of an aircraft by its registration. Airlinersdotnet is a good one. This particular 727 was delivered brand new to LAB and served 36 full years with them only. Many airliners go through different hands, this one stuck around with its original owner.

  • Tem razão com o motor nesta posição parece um 747!

translation - You are right with the engine in this position looks like a 747!

  • @lfscosta not even the 747 has 4 wing mounted engines these engines are obviously rear mounted

  • @speeddevil2193 - was what I meant but in so sarcastic! I am familiar with a 727 and a further 747!

    hugs!

  • @lfscosta LOL haha i didnt know you were being sarcastic lol its hard to tell when your only reading it from a computer

  • The 727 was the best aircraft ever built, period! I am a longtime admirer of this aircraft and was lucky to work for 4 years as an airline crew member for now defunct American Trans Air. For a while we were able to bid monthly schedules by aircraft type and for 8 solid months I flew only 727 trips, it was great. The sounds of the engines bring back flying memories, I miss this bird.

  • This aircraft looks like Russian Tupolev Tu 154? This is very goog plane.

  • The 727 is look alike with 717 yes?...

  • no, the 717 is basically a dc-9 that was meant for the 21st century. Two engines mounted on the rear with T-tail instead of three engines, one engine in s-duct, mounted on the rear with T-tail

  • No 717 is similar to a DC-9 the 9's are way better too

  • what a beautiful airplane.

That old recollections, it was the first plane in the one that travels, and it was of the best of his epoch.

  • almost no flap use... why?

  • Pretty standard, nothing abnormal about the flap setting.

  • he's making a flaps 5 degrees takeoff; this is due to the airport being at a hgih altitude for less drag...note the long run. I miss flying these old birds too !!!

  • About time it hit V1.

  • I LOVE THIS AIRCRAFT !!!

  • Tweetyjez Azrajet

  • Nice sound and looooong take off roll! Thank you!

  • awsome shot!! one of the best take off videos i've seen!

  • NOT one of..... "The BEST of" !!!! :-)

  • Thanks!!

  • Genial, gracias por subirlo

  • LAB have gone bust.

  • Looks like they've actually just come back...

  • muy bueno, gracias

  • cool !!! I love it !! I love aircraft !! lol

  • Long t/o roll compared to the newer planes, nice vid.

  • buen video caipiroska243, como todos.
