  • song at 1:20 ?

  • Callate y tocalo!

  • I'm not really getting why there's so many negative comments? A waste of time & energy really. It's a short little endorsement spot, not a full feature walk through video. It's cheap & has a nice amount of extra features besides knob/button per function. It's cheaper than most rack/desktop synths, almost as small as one. The keys are a bonus, you can throw it in your backpack & use as a midi controller for drums & tons of knobs too. Idk, I'm definitely going to check one out.

  • i'm here to tell you everything about this synth. trust me, it sounds awesome. i won't play it, but it sounds amazing.

  • I usually dont care much about real analogue vs VA, but this 1 got me real excited! I think it's the most interesting piece of gear to check out from this years NAMM!

  • Some people seem to be slagging this off on every you tube clip... If you hate this 'stylophone' so much, why do you keep watching clips about it?

  • No patch storage, the smallest keyboard on the market, no seguencer. I purchased an Origin last year and returned it because of multiple bugs and bad encoders. I hope the quality of this synth is better. Arturia support is not too great so beware. It is a shame because they have great ideas.

  • WOW the equipment of my dreams!!! :P

  • This video has put me onto Passion Pit - they're pretty good... obviously, they use loads of analog synths !!

  • What a bunch of dorks.

  • @FoetalSpace You sound like a Nazi.

  • @hac291 well I am a German woman >:D

Kiss me or I'll crush you!

  • I'm tiring of softsynths lately and finding real analogue just gives a more unique and organic convincing sound. Perhaps it's just a phase I'm going tru

  • Hey thanks @proaudiostar for this video, some of us appreciate it.

  • People who spend more time criticizing people for the tools they use rather than making music themselves are whats wrong with the industry. I doubt there are many that are on Passion Pits level commenting on this synth via these YT comments. These guys make music, they are signed, they tour, they work hard at what they do. There are 1000 videos of people making beats in 10 min on YT, and we all know what they sound like - crap. The synth looks promising. PP seem genuine. Its another tool.

  • Why would anybody buy this? Can't you get just about every VST you need for £500 or less, and do a hundred times more than this 'amazing' unit can? Am I missing something here? Aren't these sort of (crappy) sounds piss easy to produce with umpteen different free VSTs?

Talk about the emperor's new clothes...

I notice we didn't get to hear it in use in any actual SONGS, I wonder why that would be... probably because it's 'incredible analogue-ness' would be oh-so obviously irrelevant?

  • @packoftwenty shouldn't you be off doing homework or something kid? judging by your intelligence I think that's probably a good idea.

  • @packoftwenty eh, I'm leery of this synth until I play it, but thats in comparison to other analog synths. No way does a vst sound as good as a analog synth. Its not some bandwagon, new phenomena. Analog synths have been the best sounding synths since synths were first invented. Its the depth and sonic character that makes it more exciting to listen to, that just doesn't exist in digital form.

  • @packoftwenty Haha Given other peoples comments here I thought what you were going to say was going to be unreasonable. That said, I completely agree. Whilst there are a few areas analogue still trumps digital/va/vst there are many many more which the digital will out do analogue. In terms of sound quality, its up to preference. Personally there is only a handful of analogue synths that I even like the sound of and most are emulated to the point where the practical difference is inaudible.

  • @sacredgeometry I have to agree. I had 13 analogue synths at one time, Moogs, Rolands and a Korg MonoPoly. Out of all of them the only one I regret selling was the Moog Multimoog. It was unreliable kept losing an oscillator but there were very few made. When VST versions came out, very few people in general could tell the difference. Besides, everything is recorded digitally anyway which kills the whole purpose of analog synths.

  • whoever does your guys editing is great for videos!

  • @FoetalSpace that might just be you

  • @FoetalSpace You echo every single passive aggressive gear comment I've seen on youtube. "Cool [ Gear X ] . Next time you upload a video, learn how to play music first".

  • @limeyamos what would like me to say? some self affirming bull shit about it's resonance?

go play with your teenage engineering toys your dad bought you, douche-burger <3

  • @limeyamos

go play with your teenage engineering toys your dad bought you, douche-burger <3

  • @FoetalSpace Actually Michael and Chris were some of the nicest guys I've met. They were wiped out from working till 5am. - Joe

  • @proaudiostar ah k. I thought they just had that douchey muso attitude.

  • i like it,.. but not as much as my analogue solutions telemark.. or my vermona perfourmer...,. or my pulse,... so its nice you got one first to play with BUT,.. passion pit, get an analogue solutions too.

  • looks nice

  • Made in France :p

  • great synth, lame endorsees

  • Love it, but how much $ is the question?

  • @ortiza2007 549$ 499€. Isn't´that awesome! I am going to buy one. Awesome!

  • nice synth!

  • ph i want it asap i love small synthesis with hella power

  • Can't wait to see a proper demo! This is definitely the most exciting thing at Namm!!

  • 1:58 - "...coming from a software background, you can tell that they put a lot of that thought into an analog synth. Everything's got a knob, everything's got a button..."

Ever tried a Minimoog? Sigh... Nice synth though!

  • @AnalogSweden Yes, LOL.. If any part of it DIDN'T have a knob or a button, how would anybody use it?

Two douchebags telling us how 'smitten' they are with this pile of rubbish. LOL at the 'Stylophone' like sound near the start - how incredibly 'analogue'!

I wonder how many idiots are going to jump on this bloody bandwagon, it's laughable.

First it was 'Diva' from U-HE, now it's hardware analogue bullshit. Pathetic.

  • @packoftwenty lol. You're an idiot.

  • Excellent! I need one.

  • What a useless review. Two barely articulate blokes saying things like "I'm smitten" and saying how great the filter is before the video cuts to something useless instead of letting you actually hear this great filter. And a two octave keyboard? Presumably you can get round that by using a proper keyboard over MIDI, so why not make the thing with no keyboard and sell it cheaper?

  • @therealsweep They probably will make a desktop version. But yes I would like to see a proper demo. The new pulse 2 from waldorf looks interesting too.

  • less talk more sounds please.

  • @digitalcp01 lol I agree, but there's no point in having an artist endorse your instrument if they don't talk about it. Lose-Lose situation?

  • Cool synth...first Korg and now Arturia...analog is back!!

  • On second thought, the bass sounds pretty fat and warm.

  • Steiner-Parker filter? Hoo-boy! Sounds kinda thin and harsh, though; and what's with the two-octave keyboard and the wheel placement?

  • i am liking this
