Sheila, I believe this, because I have had some uncanny experiences with this happening in my back yard...tiny barely noticeable drops of rain....in different areas of our lawns...happened a lot in May...this is NY...it was very different than a normal spring shower.

I see this happening yesterday and today on the NWS sat. loop. Yesterday a round storm cloud (red in the center), came strait down the Atlantic coast with an obvious long white line beam attached to it. Then it turned, went over N Florida, were it seemed to scatter a bit. It then proceeded to go west and once beamed (long white line appears), the cloud took its very round shape with red in the center.
