In the "Hancock's Half Hour" episode "The Set That Failed" Tony Hancock hilariously acts out this show by himself & they had his Robert Newtonn impression as a running (or hopping) gag
Several 1950's filmed adventures were made in colour as it was anticipated that Colour TV would come in way earlier than it did. Long John Silver was actually made in Australia, which didn't even have TV then !

Yes got it on amazon 1955 series in colour not many made then......colour TV was still 12 years away.
