They should remake the game in the future to fit their original vision of this game. You can see from these early demos that the game had to be radically changed for the final product because of engine restrictions and balance purposes. If you ever tried cheating to increase the command point limit, you'll realize that it starts getting very laggy when you have too many units at once. I hope they develop a better engine and revisit this game

Is so much better than in the final version.

Gondor Soldiers are only few but strong, orcs are weak but mordor has special units like trolls.

Trolls should be able to equip with a blacksmith armor, just as with a steel weapon - sword, hammer, club.

Heroes should be effective against trolls regular ground troops only in formations and tactics.

Easterling and Harad should be a subfractions.

@MrSinaster after you installed the discs at the main menu theres an option that says multiplayer. It will take you to the online menu and ask you to create an ea account. create it and then it will ask you to crfeate an online username, and then you can play

Isengard: Best infantry and siege

Gondor: Mixed infantry but deadly rangers

Mordor: Cheap and free orcs but awesome nazguls and creatures

Rohan: Best cavalry, mixed infantry and good archers

@sol200997 Mordor ia not really that cheap i played LOTR competitively for awhile (i played as Isengard) no one played them in the higher up lvs because if we got are wargs or infantry + 5 orcs cant have upgrades so late game we can easily take them out by the 100s with no problem same with most of Mordor's infantry and mostly all there creatures die easily if you have fire arrows all the play style of games change at higher lvs

@sol200997 Gondor by itself without Ithillien Rangers has shit archers, If you have squads of them from the previous missions left over that survived, they can literally almost hold off the entire siege of mordor. The best infrantry imop is split between Isengard and the Elves if i remember right you can create melee/archer combo units that form up and fight together??? Mordor wouldnt be anything without Nazgul and Mumakil and ofc Trolls but i love this game and plan to buy this and the 2nd

This game i have this game and campaign (evil) does not look like this demo, i don't know or this demo is specialy changed by electronic arts but this looks much kooler.

Also evil campaign is very hard on dificulty easy, being the bad guys, the orcs on a moment it is almost impossible to kill some enemy gondor rangers, instead of the isengard uruk-hai which are much better quality. I'd rather would fight against gondor with isengard, because that much better. Good campaing is good.

It's really disappointing seeing how much they changed this game before it was released. I remember seeing the trailers and development videos months before it was released and I was in awe. I was crazy about this game, but when I actually played it...wtf! The Minas Tirith level is a joke, and every battle has at most like 50 guys. There in small ass squads too, which is pathetic (nothing like what they showed here in the Ithilien level.

I played this game like 5 years ago and i remember doing all of those things.

One of my favorite strategy games. Its a pity that EA did wasted the license.

Two Tower, Return of the King and BFME series were good games, but afer 2006 they did not get out many or any good LotR game.

O and this was probably a developers diary, and there were many more of them.

Remember watching them in anticipation of the game.

BFME was not the best but my most anticipated game.
