  • I know they were models but the angels weren't half tasty looking girls weren't they???

  • I am fortunate to be pals with many guys who I knew both before, or who I have becomes mates with since that auction who have a whole host of costumes, puppets, models and all sorts. Visiting them is like going to a museum given the volume of pieces a couple of them have. Great that they are in the hands of real fans too.

  • Thanks. I remember you being on TV too - I remember Collector's Lot. My brother taped it for me one friday because I loved Captain Scarlet. I was in the official magazine after sending a drawing. Were there other people you knew who won any of the bids...?

  • Yep again! That was the show with the bits you mention. Around that time I did quite a few TV shows like BIG BREAKFAST, COLLECTORS LOT and a few others. The Anderson shows were getting repeated or having DVDs released so TV programmes wanted to feature the old stuff from the 1960s and I suppose having done one or two programmes others thought they'd like to see the stuff too. A great deal of fun to do and nice to know it was enjoyed by fans as well. Thanks.

  • Yep! That was me. Much of the rest of my collection from the same show is featured on my other films too. Glad you remembered that old programme and enjoyed it too. Thanks for posting!

  • @Modmart Aww that is so awesome! I used to watch the tape repeatedly because it had clips of various episodes that I'd never seen before on it. I remember there was a few bits of you showcasing a few pieces of your collection including a Thunderbird 1, a gun (from UFO?) and I think there was even Captain Scarlet Talc powder in there too! I'm even more annoyed that I somehow taped over it now.

  • Fantastic item Modmart!

It's a bit of a strange question, but did you happen to appear on a episode of "Lost in Space" called "The Fandersons" about 10-15 years ago? I very distinctly remember a guy saying "and I live with Melody Angel" at the start, but I long since taped over the episode (to my great regret). I also remember that it was mentioned only her head was original.

  • I honestly can't recall if the head description for Destiny was altered/amended during the actual auction. It was years back now but still a great memory for me and many others who came away with a little piece of telly history and a very tangible connection to the shows that made their childhood. Myself included! Thanks for commenting.

  • Hi there. Thanks for sharing, really interesting. I remember the auction well, as I was only about 10 and I sent off for the auction guide at the time. One thing I noticed, which you may have done so too, was that the guide had a lot which was supposed to be Rhapsody Angel, but it was definitely one of the Destiny Angel heads with an incorrect red wig. Ultimately, I noticed that this head fetched a great deal of money (as you'd expect for a Destiny head). Was this corrected at the bidding?

  • omg thats so cool. you should get the rest of the angels!

  • Brilliant! I would love to own a original puppet even a replica! Its a shame no company doesn't produce replica puppets..

  • The invite is always there mate. It would be great to photograph three original Angels together. Your right it is starting to sound a bit dodgy!!

  • Nice video Mart. One of these days I must come over and take some photos (and if I ever get Destiny and Symphony back we can have an Angel threesome - oo-er missus!)

  • Thanks for the comments guys! I guess anything original and screen used is a sort of Holy Grail whether it be a puppet, model or costume.check out Spaceman's stuff! After all these years I appreciate how lucky I am. The eyes were photographs of artwork of eyes then cut and carefully placed inside clear semi hemispheres. A job and a half it must have been to make them back then. If I had no eyes in there at all I would have gone for brown repros but as they are real I stayed with the purple!

  • Great stuff Martin, an original puppet or model is surely the Holy Grail for Anderson fans! -------what wouldn't i give for the original SPV ( if only it had survived!) :-(

  • Did they use photos of real eyes? She looks Mysteronised! What a great original piece to own. Lovingly restored too.

  • Very nice item mate, I always wish that I had gone to that auction and bought something, as I've always wanted an original puppet - they just look so good and impressive.
