Working on my private now, and just picked up the GoPro. How did you get the radio audio?

@wfoster2960 I plugged my phone into a spare headset jack and recorded with a recording app. Afterwards I had to sync up the audio and video.

im in year 11 at highschool, and i really want to become a pilot. i live in perth aswell, are you aware of any flight schools in perth that i might be able to join? or would i have to do something first? i really need a plan for after year 12, all i know is that im going to be a pilot. no idea how though.

@Rodrigo2838 theres a bit more to it, like demonstrating landing in different aircraft configurations, PFL's, etc but the video would be too long if I included it all!! its all easy though, so nothing to worry about :)

Hiya, I started my training with Minovation(Damien) before moving to Sydney last year. Nice school. Whats with the roll at 50-54? Was that you? I assume that was not part of the GFPT, otherwise I best get back there soonest! Nice video, wish I had access to the tech to record my PPL journey, It already takes every penny I can save!

@moreleftpedal was my instructor showing off for the camera :) its not part of the training but we managed to fit a few aeros in every now and then. yep its pretty handy having the new tech to recored the journey!

Hey that's pretty sweet. As a student pilot, I like the idea of taking videos of my flying. Just curious though, how well you trust the camera being mounted on the top of the plane like that. I'd be afraid of it falling off in flight or embarrassed if it fell off on the runway.

@netxero the camera was always mounted inside the cockpit and in either case it was secure enough so it wouldn't not come off in flight. When I recorded some audio, I made sure I could quickly remove the system in case it interfered with anything (which it didn't). It helped with my training, because I could review the footage if I thought I did something wrong or could do it better (eg. PFLs)

Great Fliyng! how does this camera mount to things? i am considering getting one for my solo and the rest of my experiences of becoming a pilot.does it come with a suction cup mount?

@TTandN thanks mate. its a GoPro camera and yep I used a suction mount for some of the shots. I also used some of the other standard mounts that come with the camera. Check out the GoPro website and you'll get an idea of the options..

Awsum editing, any student pilot enjoys lookin round youtube for some good video's of anything to do with flight training, this is the best I've ever seen.
