Watain probably thought the prancer was mocking them. He did get in their faces so it could be said that they might of though he was going to try and touch them. Not everyone appreciates random people acting breaking their personal bubble, so while some may think that "pummeling" his is uncalled for, that's just how some respond to perceived threats. At least they just pushed him offstage into a crowd that could keep him from hitting the floor instead of knifing him or something.

I remember seeing watain in cleveland october 2008, and a drunk dude got onstage on all fours headbanging and one of the guitarists in watain kicked the shit out of him.
