I activated it through the phone it came with. I tried doing it online first but it wouldn't go through. Some error message came up. After I activated it, I took the sim out & put it in my iPhone 4. Still says No SIM.

I just bought the same gophone package you got. Cut the sim down to fit the microsim tray. Put it in but it says theres No SIM. I dont know what you did but I found out these SIMs are locked. Help me out if you can.

but to get data u have to buy a separate data package.

go to settings/reset/reset network settings.

you can also try a hard reset/restart by holding your home & power button at same time for 10 seconds while the phone is on.

@TheOzzyism Does it matter about the type of sim card? because i was watching other videos & they were talking about a 3g at&t iphone sim card. The sim card im using is the one that comes with the little grey phonee its self

i have an iphone 4 on ios 5.0.1 and its jailbroken untethered.... it DOES NOT work on the gophone plan. I have looking for a way to make it work and the only is to just buy a sim or go make an excuse to att and for them to give u a new micro sim and activate it with go phone.. but other than that it will not work on gophone sim cards. i want to know he way u did it cus u never said what u did exactly. i just wasted 25 dollars on att with this bull

PLEASE HELP im having trouble having the phone work.... i cut down the gophone sim into a micro chip, and my iphone 4 sucessfully read it.... do i have to call the customer service number to activate it or can i do it online, im scared they will say they cant since its an iphone blah blah..

like u normally would. remember use the gophones imei! not the iphones to activate it.

@huante88i Hey, I went down to the local AT&T store and said I need a micro sim for this and they activated it put it in my phone and they said you'll be charged a minimum 15 dollar data plan and then I said Im on a gophone and they said well you won't get data and I said I know and they hooked it up it took like 5 minutes. To double check call and AT&T store in your area and ask and then go down.

I just got me an iphone 4 (unlocked and jailbroken) and thought of doing the same as using the GoPhone. and i actually went to at&t to activate it, and what happens is the simcard didnt work at all, it just says "No Service" on top of it, idk if its the iphone that is the problem or whatevers, but if it is do you guys have any solution for it? cuz i know the simcard does work :D thank youuu in advance.

@davijr78 Any plan you want, the plan is just a measurement of how much they should charge you per your usage, if you don't have a plan they will just charge the base rates (which are very high).

i personally do the

10$-for 1000 texts a month

25$-for 500 mb of 3g data a month

0$-for talking wich i rarely do(most text)

thats 35$ a month for me, but it also rollsover at the end of the month, so if u not use

all your mb or text they are not wasted it just keeps adding up.

i laugh at my freind who pays 110$ just to use his iphone...lols

Wouldn't it be better to get the $2/day unlimited txt/talk (on days used only)? regardless this is all prepaid and super cheap compared to 80-100/month on all 3 post-paid carriers

save yourself an extra 10$ instead of 2$ a day.

anyway theres 2 things that could be the problem

1.the i phone has updated to the new ios 5. wich can be the cause of the problem, or

2. ive heard the sim logic board can also go out not being able to recognize sim cards.

try this get someones at&t iphone sim(like a freinds) and try it in your phone, if it dosent read it then its defenetly your phone.

but an actuall 10$ gophone pull out the sim go at&t.com and register the sim with the gophones imei.

quick note never stick the sim in the gophone, just activate it then just & put it in your iphone.
