How in the hell did this guy come back after the farce of the first round of judges' comments and deliver such an emotional and heartfelt rendition of this song? AMAZING!!!
The kid had a fever of 104. VERY impressive performance. He was battling with his sickness as well as a ton of emotions courtsey of the thoroughly embarassing judges-if you can even call them that. Castro is a great folksy storyteller like Neil himself. Two class acts.
And might I add how FANTASTIC the studio version is??
I want syesha to go home, then I want Jason to knock one of the davids out of the competition so the david vs david finale that the judges have been working so hard to create (even by manipulating) will be shattered. Even if Jason doesn't win it all, I'd still pay money to see that. Keep voting guys!! Jason needs our support, especially after what happened, lets keep his beautiful spirit high and give him the determination to keep fighting!!

He's going through what Brooke went through. Vote for him, keep him there so that he can come back strong like Brooke. Give him chance to give another great performance.
Although Jason did an OK job he definitely shows that he is not in the same league as the others. He is not electrifying, he'd rather be sweet than aggressive. Paula has his number. Still, there may be a niche that Jason can fill- he's reminding me of Jose Feliciano.
I really thought this was a beautiful performance..especially the beginning - he is amazing and so sincere. But I DO sortof feel like he maybe is feeling a bit defeated? I obviously don't know..but it was almost kindof sad to watch him once he had finished the song - I feel like the judges are a bit against him at the moment and he feels that. So I just hope he stays and realizes how much he is ADORED by his fans! He is so special and so great - GO JASON!!
