I remember when the SciFi channel used to play this along with few other splendid anime shows that shared the same time block as Gigantor and I'd get anyone who was home while I was in elementary school to record the show on our VCR player. Oh, the memories.

Man. Gigantor is a relic compared to more recent mechs like Gundam Exia. Still, the clasics all have a feel about them that can't be beat. :)

Yes, Mobile Suit Gundam's "realistic" approach to mecha has slowly made super powered robots an endangered species. In my case, I'm happy about it, but it doesnt mean I dont enjoy Gigantor...let alone Astro Boy, because no one can hate him.
