  • You do not look like Mr. bean as the rude person 2 days ago said.Loove that background art on your wall!

  • @eastofeden130 hey thanks, rude people exist, it's a tough fact :) thanks for your support and kind words :D <3

  • instead of ruining your pallete you could have used a dvd case instead

  • love the idea

  • what an amazing idea!! i will def. be doing this!!

  • you're look like MR Bean cause wasting a good thing for ugly thing....

  • @kudalautify the "good" things was cheap and expired, the "ugly" thing is higher quality, and i use neutrals a lot more often than rainbow colors, i made an intelligent decision... but i love mr bean so i'll take that as a compliment, thank-you-very-much

  • its a graet idea but avoid talking so much it starded to get borin <3

  • @ericamart123 i talk a lot in all my videos *shrug* , but i'm glad you enjoyed it anyway, thanks!

  • this is really nice =] you did a good job and i think this is a really good idea thank you for the video i'm gonna have to try and do this. palette looks real nice and fancy with that gold sticker thing too lol. and you should seriously disregard ppls rude comments. quite obviously you were making a palette to your preferences and not to theirs. i like darker neutral colors as well. oh and you have eyes like a kitty lol very pretty ;D

  • @payasa21323 thank you for all your kind words :) sometimes people in real life (and on the internet) can be rude, it's okay, you're right that's their problem ;D ps. too thanks for the compliment, it always makes my day to hear one <3 <3

  • why would u waste brite cute colors for dark ones do u like dark colors more

  • @beckylovesoreo1 yeah i do kind of like the darker colors more, or at least the neutral ones are the ones i use the most, so it's more useful for me i guess, thanks for the question

  • that is domb wasting a bunch of cute bright colors to ugly dark ones who does that

  • @zulianaaguilar0gmail i do that *shrug*

  • @cupcakeonawire and i think the light colors are pretty clothes colors but the dark colors are good everyday make up looks :)

  • @Piggiepie225 yeah i think so too :) thanks~!

  • @cupcakeonawire yeah because your retarded *shrug*

  • @zulianaaguilar0gmail takes one *doubleshrug*

  • 5:55 I SWEAR MY EYES POPPED OUT! I was like HELL NO i aint doin this until i continued with the video LOL.

  • @ManoAbdullah haha. nice!

  • Another thing you could have done is scrape the glue off the shadows and lay down a magnetic strip in the plastic and you could have reused it over and over again. :)

  • @obsceneobscurity this is a good tip~ :) thank you <3 x

  • @cupcakeonawire You're very welcome. :)

  • i did the exact same thing :-)

  • @abciao great minds think alike then i think ! :) <3

  • like that idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Bellaaiden thank you ;D !!

  • thats was a great idea.

  • @rina078 thanks for thinking so! :)

  • why did you brake all your eyeshadows?

  • @tinshiny they were old, nasty and expired, i was going to throw the whole things out, but decided to make a video out of repurposing the shell instead, the shadows might have looked nice on camera but they were really gross in real life : /

  • IF YOU DON'T HAVE A LARGE PALETTE:

you can use the top lid of a mac or elf large palette!

just make sure you glue it very well

  • @MissGlitterCouture this is a *great* tip!

  • i love this lol

  • @bluberriesJen thank you :D

  • sweet idea, but you were extremly ignorant saying, im so proud of myself for thinking of this. You dont need a massive brain to think of smashing up some eyeshadows and then replacing them. Just saying.

  • @Anastazjarocks just saying

  • Comment removed

  • i love this

  • @gabifabiful thank you!

  • cute idea

  • @littlelynnielover thank you so much!

  • Hey great video, I am running out of room and have bags of duos and quads that i find I don't use because they are everywhere. I would love to do this, but I dont have an empty palette, do u know if you can buy empty palette boxes? xo

  • @xAisCorriganx i'm not quite sure, maybe online somewhere? the palette i repurposed in this video is from ebay, best of luck in your search x

  • @xAisCorriganx yes you can buy one from the tkbtrading website

    click "jars/brushes" then click "palettes/compacts"

  • the one you destroyd was much better , it looks a mess now

  • @isalovecam it may look better before, but the quality was cheap, the maybelline shadows i repotted into the palette are much nicer in consistency, color, application, etc.

  • i gonna make it ! Thanks for give the idea... good job, gurl

  • @NadiaHChrisAb hey thanks :) <3

  • great vid! love it...very down to earth and I felt like I was listening to a friend share a good idea with me...I will be sure to check out your other videos! Cheers!

  • @mllebuttercup that is awesome of you to think, glad you found something useful here x

  • I want that palette and you simply destroyed it

  • @nadjahanaflo yeah i did because it was old and unusable

  • U Have THE EXACT SAME VOICE AS ANNE HATHAWAY

  • @BrittanyNicole5123 that's totally awesome of you to think that, thank you <3

  • @BrittanyNicole5123 yaaaa as i stated 6 days ago. lol

  • @ 6FaceDrack it dose too!

  • I have the exact same palette that you destroyed! :)

  • omg your voices sounds exactly like Anne Hathaway o____o

  • @6FaceDrak that is quite the compliment <3 thank you!

  • Wow! I love this video as well as the end result! Goodjob :D and omg, it makes me want to make my own palette :D!!

  • @dabackstreetgirl it was really fun to do :) thank you!

  • I love to depot my eyeshadows, but the supermarkets by me only accept cans and plastic soda/water bottles, so I stopped depoting my eyeshadows because I felt bad about throwing all the plastic into the regular trash. Is there a way I can mail all that plastic in? where did you take all those plastic containers to?

  • @RRT0816 at the time i lived in california, they had a curbside recycling program for plastics, glass and paper, i'm not quite sure where you'd send it if you didn't have a program, perhaps there is a recycling/reuse center close by?

  • I have a similar palette, but my colors are earthy. And I tried getting the little pots off, and it's pretty much easier instead of pulling the black plastic.

  • @beeyowcht yeah, i think if the palette i used for the video had been one of those coastal scents palettes it would have been easier to work with... the one in the vid is a cheap-o imitation $10 i ordered off ebay : / thanks for your comment <3

  • very nice but what happens when you dont want to take that whole thing traveling...

  • @TheJuicypinkmakeup the palette isn't for traveling, i only use it when i'm at home... i have little palettes from other brands that i use when im traveling (which isn't very often), thanks for your question!

  • you seem sweet. nice diy.

  • @goosenooseable thanks :) i enjoyed doing it, glad you enjoyed it too :D

  • Who would want to ruin their 99 color pallette?

  • @Anastazjarocks it wasnt a nice palette, the colors were cheap and chalky

  • Hi Saira,

What do you mean by recycling plastic ?

  • @allaboutbeaudee we had a recycling program which you put recyclables into collectables bin and they'd come pick up your recycling curbside

  • Meu Deus pra que, estragar toda a paleta!! aff!!

  • @makelibras Que raiva ne? nao faz sentido estragar aquelas cores lindas pra colocar sombras que ja tinha lugarzinho pra ficar --'

  • very smart

  • awesome diy video. except the "uhms" are very distracting...

  • @Pinklipglossed it's how i talk *shrug*

  • That's a good idea. Way to recycle. There has to be an easier way to depot the pallets..

  • loveeeee that picture in the background !!! <3

  • Love this video.

  • @tlcacchise thanks :) that's super awesome :D

  • Your sooo annoying

  • @TheSing4eva meh meh

  • @TheSing4eva wow ur retarded for saying that. Your soo annoying!

  • @TheSing4eva You're so annoying. Learn to spell.

  • this is a really clever idea. i kind of want to do this too..

  • smart ideal !cool way off getting rid of all thoses eyeshadows that, you forget you have ~~~**!

  • damn...you coulda just tried pouring some acetone or nail polish remover underneath it :( such a waste.

  • @sacgeekgirl the eyeshadows were gross before i destroyed them

  • Hey, im heathe.. please watch my videos and give me tips and ideas on what to do for videos... that is really cool what u did.. while going in the video you could see you put a lot of your time into this because you could see the wax i the cndle getting higher and higher.. you should make more and sell them!

  • why didnt you just take the mirror out? lol do you use that? at least you couldve saved your other shadows as well.

  • @Aatariel because i felt like leaving it in. i do use the palette though not as often as i'd like to, the shadows i tossed couldn't be saved so i didn't bother.

  • 5:49 Wow that's allot of eyeshadow that broke! Did you just throw them away?

  • @Valerinaisback yeah i did, it was a cheap palette i had ordered from somewhere in asia 3-4 years ago, the colors were really chalky and didn't apply very well anymore, i could have just thrown the whole thing away, but i wanted to repurpose the palette into something i could still use <3 thanks for your comment

  • you can put a few brushes in the spaces too! that'll be nifty

  • thats so cool

  • @cocoa4evs hey thanks!

  • We had the idea that an i-Pad case is a great way to store these things so that you maybe won't have to sacrifice a palette at all!

  • @TheGlamGirlsxo that is a great suggestion :) thanks for the comment!

  • you could have used running alcoholso breakup the glue it would have came right off and ur shadows would have been saved. kewl idea tho. mneed to do this with my wet n wild ones

  • @JessyNola the eyeshadows in the palette had expired anyway (the colors were really chalky and did not blend as well as they did when i first bought the palette), i would have thrown the whole thing out anyway :) thanks for your comment! <3

  • Love it looks like a lot of work tho,

Might try, but ill prolly buy a base for a palate from Michel's.

  • @outspokengurlg probably a good idea, i just used what i had on hand :) thanks for your comment <3

  • @cupcakeonawire Welcome :)

  • It hurts my heart that the original shadows of the palette was broken. I know it's cheap but damn, it's still makeup! Anyway, this is really good. I just made my own palette too (the cd thing one) and I am loving it!

  • You can buy a empty palettes on eBay..

  • Did the pans get warm when you heated them up?? i was just wondering because i noticed that you used your fingers to put them on the palelette!! thanks!!

  • @korchick07 yeah the pans were warm to the touch, but not very hot because i only held them over the candle flame for a few seconds, this was just my experience with it, your experience may be different, always exercise caution when in doubt :) <3

  • diy always the best

  • i think you should have used rubbing alcohol to break down the glue and or bought one of those cheap dollar store pallets

  • those cases are not that good..mine broke for no reason...i guess because the use...and i love my cheap eyeshadows

  • Another trick is to pour rubbing alcohol in the pan after you peel off a corner. It makes the glue go thin and it is easy for you to just yank off the eye shadows. Hope this helps :)

  • 7:00 starts depotting incase you didn't feel like watching 7 minutes of explinations.. Some don't like it some do who knows :P

Seems like a good idea being as even a small pro mac palette is more expensive than these ones :P

If you get the 120 palettes(cheap ones) the layers just pull out then you can glue down metal/magnet to hold in pots :D

    Awesome vid.

  • @LishaMakeup good tips! thanks for the comment <3

  • i think it was kindof stupid to put all those ugly colors in there when you had all those beautiful ones

  • @sydneygirl11able the ugly colors are mostly neutrals, and the pretty colors were years expired (chalky, colorless upon application), i think this project was a wise decision, i could have just chucked the whole thing in the trash

  • @cupcakeonawire you can make your own eye shadow out of those eye shadows you've thrown out... i mean is the pigment really that chalky?

  • @megumi089 yeah, it was... it wasn't a nice coastal scents palette or anything, it was a cheapo $15 one i ordered from some country in korea off of ebay, it was near 3 years old when i did this vid, it was time to let them go... eyeshadows don't stay beautiful forever :)

  • @megumi089 (some *overseas* country *like* korea).. please forgive my typos, i'm having an off day :)

  • @cupcakeonawire lol then i agree with you....

  • cool palette
