Glad you asked. I think you should read the Cialdini book sooner or later but in terms of using language patterns Rintu Basu's book is very specific. Cialdini's "Influence" is all about 6 general principles of persuasion and the book is written like a freshmen intro to critical thinking text and the author is certainly academic in orientation. Basu is practical, street-level stuff. I also highly recommend "The Closers" by Ben Gay III, and "Secrets of Power Persuasion" by Roger Dawson.
I was wanting to know if you have read- Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Dr. Robert Cialdini? And if so, could you advise me as to which is the better book to buy for a beginner on this subject.
