I do the same thing, I too write down good things and make a journal of things past few days and how ive felt. I do 20 min of meditation every morning and then before work I do 20 min Visualization. One thing ive noticed is that, the past few months, for example, as soon as I think about someone that I havent seen for a very long time, suddenly that person appears right infront of me within 2 days or sometimes even faster.

Find a thought that feels good to you when you think it and use your will to stay there for a few seconds. If in the middle of that good feeling thought, the negative thoughts appear, just breath deep, and bring to your mind again that good feeling thought, and stay there for a few seconds. Do that everyday for 15 min, for about 90 days, and you will find that you will keep that good feeling thought in your mind, without the negative ones. Use like some sort of a game, with your mind.
@jujane12 this is what I do. I see something I want so I ask myself " what does that feel like"? I get into the feeling and mental picture in my mind and hold it. If I see something I don't like " I tell my self I can change my reality at anytime. everymorning I write down things that I love. memories, people, etc. sets my vibration for the day. If a negative thought comes I notice and think of something new. One thing she said is awsome don't look at reality as that what it is. :)
@jujane12 Eckhart Tolle is also a good source for dealing directly with the negative thoughts. The trick is not to get mad at yourself for having them, but to "step back" and observe them when they come without identifying them as your true self.

@Redcaster916 - It isn't an "alien consciousness." It is the energy or "source" that has existed forever and it the same energy that flows through you, me and everything in existence. To call it an "alien consciousness" is to separate yourself from what you are. It is the same as others who call "god" a "him" because they cannot visualise their own inner source so they have to create an "other." This is no "alien consciousness", only you and your connection to life itself. T
