The irony with their visual kei comment is that Sakamoto himself had a bit of a glam-rock look (with make-up and all) during quite a few live performances back in the early 80s.

never knew they dislike metal so much, then I've always hated it too. hoho (don't let my friends know). Its probably that the intellectual "sensitive male type" turns to the piano, and the such guitar music is macho male music, which this band isn't. So we might say synths are for more feminine/YIN guys. Heavy metal is YANG.
