RON PAUL?! RON PAUL REALLY IS DANGEROUS. Ron Paul supporters are living with blinders on, believing a loving, unicorn and rainbow fantasy world of Iranians who can't wait to be our friends when what they do to Americans is behead us entirely on religious grounds - there is no fear of consequence to them; they think that dying while killing us buys them heaven. CLICK ON MY NAME - TEA PARTY VICTORY - TO SEE JUST HOW DANGEROUS RON PAUL IS. Read carefully; this is life or death if Iran gets nukes
RON PAUL oxoxox He speaks the truth and is the definition of who a true American is. I feel his knowledge and passion for our rights speak for all American people. People are sick of being lied to. I will stand behind him 100% if he becomes or President!! I <3 this guys!
My question, north korea bombed south korea only last year. They have several nuclear warheads and within 10 years may be able to hit the west coast.
Iran MAY be building nuclear missiles, and MAY want to atttack israel (with no hope of winning).
North Korea HAS nuclear missiles, HAS missles capable of traveling about 4000km and Has started testing missiles capable of hitting the US. Why all the focus on Iran?
I think we already know the answer, oil and Israel.
The lie of American Empire building has no basis in fact at all. America has been, and will always be a liberator of the oppressed, not an empire nation.
Stop listening, and start reading.
Here are some words of wisdom, for Free.
"You do not know anything you have been taught. You only know what you have learned."
Washington himself knew that alliance was necessary. He was keenly aware that we won our independence because of alliances.
But even more so, with the world as it is today (one can leave Europe and reach the shores of the US on the same day, rather than in two months) it would be impossible to be isolationists as Ron Paul wants us to be.
Because knowing what he was talking about is the context for the statement.
When Washington left office, Adams and Jefferson were fighting to align the us with either France or Britain. Adams wanted Britain, and Jefferson wanted France.
Washington knew that those two empires were headed for war (again) and he knew that we should not join either because they would insist on our involvement. Neutrality would keep us out of it.
What exactly is Paul not understanding about the constitution? George Washington parting words to this country were that we should have "alliances with no one", in other words mind our own business. No empire building! We're BROKE anyway.
My lasting joy is not in all the Paultard's lack of understanding of the constitution.
It is not in the Paultard's love for legal pot.
It is not in the fact that the Paultards cant see Ron Paul would hand our country over to foreign powers unintentionally with his weak foreign policy.
Nor is it in the criminal domestic policy he espouses.
My lasting joy is based in the fact he has no chance to win.
After the election I will be happy, and all the Paultards will be stoned, illegally.
@woodyhambrick calling his supporters "paultards" simply because you are incapable of defending your illogical position does not make your argument stronger. Ron Paul's foreign policy would make us stronger; its the foreign policy youre advocating that causes blowback like 9/11. Claiming that all Ron Paul supporters are stoners is a strawman argument, the sign of a desperate loser
"RON PAUL WE ARE 'AFRAID' YOU'LL RUN OUT OF TIME" lol I love how they keep trying to change the topic and when they get him going they try to get out of it by going ok ok don't tell them anymore ok ok stop talking now please we are going to get fired!
If Americans don't wake up and realize what's truly going on, the economy and the entire Republic will fail. A police state is coming by the end of next year. It's all inevitable, and Americans need to wake up! Join the fight against the global elites at libertybattles.webs.com.
ALL REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES - with the exception of Congressman Ron Paul - got on their hands and knees, opened their mouths wide, dropped their pants or skirt, and serviced Jews from both ends. They took Jews inside them in their mouths and anals. Who are these Jews? Israel Interests, ACLU, B'Nai Brit, American Jewish Council, and all other Jewish Freemason individuals and organizations.
Only 1 person is dignified, and refused to SUCK JEWS and TAKE JEWS UP INSIDE - Ron Paul.
Bastiat ??? America if you don't vote for this man you will prove to the world that America is full of nothing but unrealistic people. Bastiat was a real Liberal and not the fake liberal these control freaks in the Dem party claim to be or these air head fight the power kids. Bastiat was the only good thing France ever produced haha. Just kidding. If you claim to be a real Liberal compare yourself to Bastiat if you don't measure up to his standards then you are not a real Liberal.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Ron Paul is a danger, and ACDC7369, You are an idiot! Ron Paul's views on freedom are consistent with anarchy not with the constitution. You have to have never read it yourself to say something so far from reality.
Again, you prove my point. Ron Paul's appeal is his desire to legalize recreational drugs. Stop saying he has any real value. Just say what you mean. You want him so you can smoke pot and the police cant stop you.
If he dropped his legalization plan you would drop him.
@woodyhambrick Ya, no torture, no crony capitalism & bailouts, no undeclared wars & endless militarism...no out-of-control deficit spending & destruction of our currency & national sovereignty, no globalist owned & controlled Federal Reserve System, warrantless wiretapping, indefinite detention...it would be just ANARCHY without these. Sorry Woody, you're the 'danger' and you're dead when you suggest that Ron Paul's only appeal is the decriminalization of drugs.
@woodyhambrick I've read the Constituion many times. You obviously haven't if you think the phrase "Pursuit of Happiness" is in it. Paul is not an anarchist, that is a baseless lie. I don't smoke pot. Your claim that his only real appeal is to legalize drugs is also a baseless lie. That strawman tactic of yours is the sign of a desperate loser who can't back up his own arguments with logic
@woodyhambrick Yeah I think your a great example of the danger the American society is in with it's citizens... Fox news won the war for your mind (bet you were smokin' a joint while posting that blasphemy).
@woodyhambrick Anarchy? Ha. Do you not realize the government is trying to control people? Telling what they can and can't do. Telling them what they should eat and what they shouldn't eat. Ron Paul believes people should have more choice and more freedom than they have been getting lately...I agree with him 100% on every issue, ESPECIALLY the way he feels about foreign policy and the national debt. In all honesty, if he doesn't win...were officially doomed.
Whatever his faults,Ron Paul is still the best because he understands that the rights and freedoms of the individual are paramount. No one else gets that....
You can argue whether or not Ron Paul is worth supporting based on having your legal pot, but you cannot argue with any intellectual honesty that his view of the freedoms he sees in the constitution are consistent with those who wrote the constitution.
If Ron Paul dropped his legalization of drugs from his platform would you still support him, or would you find his historic perspective suddenly out of line with the founding fathers?
@woodyhambrick Ron Paul does not want to "legalize drugs". That implies a federal law legalizing all drugs. He wants to get the Federal government out of the issue and let the states decide whether or not to make drugs illegal. Your post is full of misinformation. His views on freedom are consistent with the original intent of the Constitution.
Ron Paul interprets the constitution through a 21st century World view. He has no historic perspective. The framers of this country were from the enlightenment era. Their intent for freedom was based on the idea of 'disinterestedness.' Ron Paul's idea of freedom is not anchored in 'disinterestedness,' but in hedonism. The framers of this nation believed in personal freedoms, but there were also controls on society for the common good. Hedonism is expressly spoken against by them.
@matt1987401 then why couldnt he say his plan on Huckabee when there were people to challenge him? He just dodged the questions. Like he never gave his plan to stop terrorism. He just talked in a circle.
I love all dodging of questions and the cop out answers Ron Paul gives in this. Ron Paul is the guy who stands off to the side and screams about what needs to be done but doesnt have an actual plan to get anything done. Sounds like a President we have now.
@ACDC7369 tell me what is inaccurate. I like how Ron Paul couldnt answer the question about what he would do to stop terrorism. Then he went from saying he would end the Fed to he would gradually end the Fed (we all know he wont actually end it because this is the same excuse Obama is using now.
There are no lies or defamation in my post. If there are please tell me. Ron Paul doesnt have a plan for anything. He just stands off to the side and screams.
@knight4justice It wasn't a matter at all of Paul not being able to answer the question of terrorism. The Oklahoman attempted to make the illegal point that it was entirely OK to subvert the constitution when emotion was involved. Paul then deflected the question because it was based on the unconstitutional premise of ignoring state law. The question asked Paul was about the FEDERAL level. Paul stated the question was moot because state's rights were the only thing applicable. And he was right.
@MSmithjazz if what you and Ron Paul is saying in true. Dont you have to wonder what gave Lincoln the power to send troops into the South during the Civil War. That was a clear violation of states sovereignty because there is nothing in the Constitution that says states cant leave the union. You have been listening to way too much Ron Paul Propaganda. Look at practical application then you will realize how crazy Ron Paul is.
@knight4justice In your bluster to wave a fist you've missed a big chunk of your education. Let me assist you. Texas v. White is settled law. It stands for the proposition that the Constitution prohibits unilateral secession. This was the premise for why Lincoln invaded the south. So is this what it's come down to now with you anti Paul sheep baaaaing believe anythings? Supreme Court rulings on constitutional law are propaganda? Please go home and read up. This should have embarrassed you.
@knight4justice Moreover, your own reaction here alongside the obvious misrepresentations are no more than talking points thrown out there to keep the status quo in tact and your own personal freedoms repressed. Continue to believe this dinosaur manipulation of the rule of law all you want. The time for this way of thinking has long passed and thankfully a larger number have wised up. There's a constitution already in place. It's our law and the only law. Either abide by it or step off.
@knight4justice my friend, learn what he stands for before making claims like that first, he is intending to stop terrorism, which is a crime and not an entity to wage war on(ridiculous), the only way to do this is to return the american troops back to america which are at the moment occuppying some 700 bases around the world. in other words stop pissing off everyone around the world because all your doing is making enemies and going bankrupt. Douche.
@MrDzver The Mullahs hated us before we had bases in the Middle East. Back in 1979 we had zero presence in the Middle East and the Mullahs still attacked our embassy with the intention of breaking off all diplomatic relations. They wanted war with us from the start. Ron Paul brings all the soldiers home. Then what? He certainly isnt going to give anyone power to stop anything once they are home. Look at practical application rather than empty rhetoric.
"Back in 1979 we had zero presence in the Middle East and the Mullahs still attacked our embassy ..."
Yeah, but don't pretend it were completely unprovoked.
Know about Operation Ajax? Perhaps (just perhaps...) overthrowing another countries democratically elected government, isn't a very good way to get that countries people to like you?
But let's not forget, your constant support of the Iraelies is probably the biggest reason muslim fundamentalists hate you.
@lAmWatchingYou did you also know Khomeini supported the Shah in 1953 and opposed Mossadegh. Ayatollah Kashani was a supporter of Mossadegh and turned then said Mossadegh needs to be executed. did you also know the Shah had the power to dismiss the Prime Minister in 1953 Iran. Mossadegh was in violation of the Iranian Constitution. So Khomeini supports the Shah in 1953, then hates us for what happened in 1953 even though we both supported the same person. LOL
How is it significant who supported who or who violated the Iranian constitution? Doesn't make the coup justified as far as I'm concerned. It was all about oil for the Brits and Yanks, that's all it ever was, not justice.
@lAmWatchingYou because people say the Iranians hate us because of 1953 and the 1979 Revolution happened because of 1953. But the same people who led the 1979 revolution also supported the Shah in 1953.
BTW, it was the Iranian Army that staged the coup and removed Mossadegh. Have you ever wondered how a vodka drinking man who knew no Persian, nothing of Persian politics or Persian politics was able to stage a coup and remove the most "popular" Prime Minister ever?
This man is at the spear head of human rights and complete equality for Americans.
We as citizens have come to discern the way wrong to be right and the right wrong. In essence, we should be held accountable for manipulating our own government to rob us of our constitutional and bill of rights in ignorance for a false sense of security and entitlements.
A constitutionalist upholds the original intent of the document.
The original intent of 'pursuit of happiness' was more akin to 'disinterestedness.' These were enlightenment era ideals of self improvement through study and knowledge. It is not a call to legalize drugs, prostitution, open interpretation to the terms 'marriage,' and 'family,'
He has a modern world view he applies to the constitution.
ONLY THE SCUM OF THE WORLD WOULD USE A TERRORIST FRAUD 9/11 CONTROLLED DEMOLITION AGAINST RON PAUL. THESE PARASITES SCREAM TERRORISM WHEN 9/11 WAS A PROVEN CONTROLLED DEMOLITION....ITS ALL BACKWARDS....AND ALL THE PATSIES TO GO WITH IT.
The fact that somebody would try and argue against Ron Paul is proof in itself that the arguer is the one who is wrong; for Ron Paul argues the truth and nothing can disprove what is absolutely right.
Hey buddy, instead of speaking out against Ron Paul with completely outrageous remarks with no validity at all, I suggest you start trying to argue in a logical manner. Not that my comment is going to convince you other wise.
He will stop illegal immigrants by making them free American citizens.
No illegals if it is now legal.
Ron Paul applies a modern world view to the constitution. He is no friend of the constitution. He is a destroyer of it. He tries to make it say what it never said. Ron Paul will destroy America. Defeat Ron Paul at all cost, or the cost will be your freedom, as America becomes no more, and an aggressor nation conquers our once great land.
@woodyhambrick That's actually the opposite of what Ron Paul stands for. Gingrich is the one who says we should legalize Illegals. Ron Paul outright opposed that idea. And anyone who has a high school level understanding of the constitution will know that Ron Paul is the only candidate that upholds the principles of the constitution. I'm pretty sure you're a troll, so I won't feed your nonsense anymore.
Paul could just cite how the PATRIOT Act's "sneak and peek" warrants have been used since the bill was passed: these self-written warrants have been used over 1,000 times for non-terrorism cases and slightly over 100 times for terrorism. The feds are allowed to put Americans in prison for life, or even kill them, without charges or even if they've been found innocent of all charges. These laws are being used against citizens, not terrorists, and we can prove it easily.
This is one more of Ron Paul's disingenuous fables.
You want Ron Paul because he will legalize your pot.
Any other false statement of his is just more fodder.
There is the rule of law for crime, and a rule of law for attacks on the nation. If you commit a crime, you can expect due process. If you attack the nation you are an enemy combatant, not a criminal. You have no rights as an American.
That has been the law of the land since the beginning of our country,
@woodyhambrick google "patriot act not used for terrorism". its an objective, verifiable fact that the sneak and peek warrants authorized under the patriot act have been used for thousands of cases, less than 1% of which have been terrorism-related. so talk about "enemy combatants" is irrelevant, because this part of the patriot act is being used against citizens for all kinds of crimes, but not to prosecute terrorism.
@woodyhambrick Your opinion of what to label Ron Paul I will not question you on. However, he does not use the Constitution's mention of the "pursuit of Happiness" to justify the legalization of the things you just mentioned. It is the fact that there is no authority in the Constitution for the government to regulate what we do to our property, our bodies. If I, as a sovereign individual, decide to use drugs or engage in prostitution, it is my right, derived from my property.
@woodyhambrick You did not listen to what he said. He said re-institute the principle of nullification. He obviously understands history. You have been wrong at least twice about him. It is your knowledge that is questionable, not his. You are obviously just trying to spread lies and provoke people.
media just talk about terrorist, they want create new war, they dont care about people, they dont care about kill people ,they dont care about economy,if ron poul cant to be perisedent, they will start new war,i swear, they are not human being, they dont know what is god,ron poul we are supporting you
PEOPLE NEED TO SWITCH PARTIES 12 WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF THE PRIMARIES IN MOST STATES.
IF YOU DO NOT SWITCH IN TIME YOU CANNOT VOTE IN PRIMARY.
IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED REPUBLICAN YOU CANNOT VOTE IN PRIMARY.
IF RON PAUL DOES NOT WIN PRIMARY, NO GENERAL ELECTION ! REGISTER AS A REPUBLICAN. FIND OUT WHEN YOUR STATE HAS PRIMARIES. FIND OUT WHERE AND VOTE VOTE VOTE ! PLEASE !
WE NEED EVERY LAST VOTE ! Copy and paste this everywhere
This event lists all the Ron Paul events going on in december and is a collective effort to give Ron Paul a push, and make sure he wins: Go to facebook and look up the event PUSH FOR PAUL DECEMBER BOMB! ALL ARE WELCOME!!!! GO LIBERTY!!!!!
I would be more afraid if those states favored Ron Paul, who does not understand the constitution, or history. He wants to legalize drugs and prostitution. He wants to turn his back on all of our foreign allies, and he is the weakest candidate since Madison who took us into the war of 1812. He is a danger. More so than anyone but Obama.
@woodyhambrick I wonder how people can speak about subjects they do zero research on. Ron Paul supports the constitution very well, and if you think the war on drugs isn't a failure please go back to eating grass sheep.
Ron Paul misuses the constitution. He puts it in a dynamic that it never existed in. You can not make a document say what it never said. That is what Ron Paul does. He tries a 21st century wourld view on an 18th century document. It doesnt work.
I never said the war on drugs worked. I said that all of Ron Paul's popularity is based on his policy to legalize drugs. People want him as president so they can get high with out the worry of the police.
@woodyhambrick Yep, and those who don't want to be jailed in cages for worshiping a deity just support officials who promise to uphold freedom of religion because the officials won't throw them in cages.
Ok woodyhambrick: you give me a penny for every time since 2001 that Dr Paul REFERS to the Constitution as a basis for his position (right or wrong), and I'll give you a penny for ALL the times Grinch&Mittens even propose to factor a specific Article and or Section in any of their positions. Can't count ANY positions which flip flop by any of of the three of them. We'll meet for a couple beers and whomever has the most pennies buys the first round.
Give a defense for Paul, not an attack on candidates who are not in the conversation.
Paul is not made right because you do not answer the criticisms, but because you can find fault with someone else. Paul is wrong. He is not constitutionalist, or historian. His foreign policy will make us more vulnerable in the world.
His only redeeming quality, and the only reason he has any popularity is that he wants to legalize drugs. Out side of that he is a bad candidate.
@woodyhambrick You are much smarter and more informed then our troops are. They must be completely wrong in donating 50% of their donations to Ron Paul, the same as Obama and every Republican combined! they don't know a thing about the war they are fighting, you are right......
It would be great if you would sober up and make a point. If the Military donated all of their money to Ron Paul it does not go against any point I have made. I attack Ron Paul on his policies, not on if he can raise funds or not.
If Ron Paul dropped his legalization of recreational drugs you would drop him for Ralph Nader.
I live in his district. I have voted for him. I have shaken his hand. But I do not want him as president.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE PRIMARY!!! CONTACT THE ELECTION BOARD SITE (just Google it) FIND OUT WHEN, WHERE, AND HOW TO VOTE PAUL IN YOUR STATE'S PRIMARY!!!
COME ON IOWA DO YOUR PART FOR LIBERTY-VOTE PAUL IN JANUARY!!!
NEW HAMPSHIRE DO YOUR PART TO LIVE FREE-VOTE PAUL IN THE PRIMARY!!
@woodyhambrick You are such a crock. Let us assume for a minute, that Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and Independents want to vote for Ron Paul in the Primary, their may be some restriction in some states that you must be registered Republican a certain amount of time before the primary before you can vote Ron Paul-because he is running under the Republican ticket. You can still vote on all the issues and anyone you like in the General Election.
@woodyhambrick all those examples you list were handled by the individual states. Morality legislation is best left to the community closest to the individual. The farther away the government is to the people the harder it is to control and enact change (another enlightenment idea). Your idea of enlightenment ideas of self-improvement are valid which is why there is the clause pertaining to the promoting of arts and science.
The promotion of arts specifically are 'big government' and are a response to enlightenment, not a tenet of enlightenment.
Science has always (undeniably) been advance best outside of government. The largest jumps in science (again, undeniably) have come as a response to war efforts.
Can you agree that Ron Paul has a modern world view of the constitution and that most of his support comes as a result of his stated plan to legalize recreational drug use?
@woodyhambrick If anything I can say that Paul's ideals come out of the age of Jackson. Similar to the Jacksonian Democrats, Paul feels like a constant "outsider" who is very worried about encroachment of power on the individual. Jacksonians felt the government restricted freedom and felt localism and natural law rather than nationalism and positive law were more desirable. Credit and debt were seen by Jacksonians as slavery, and paper money represented faux wealth.
I can agree in principal that Paul is largely a Jacksonian.
But that is no reason to give him a pass on bad policy; foreign and domestic.
He still puts a modern world view on a document written by enlightenment scholars and Paul's ideas of hedonism as freedom were not the original author's intentions. And it cannot be argued that it was. The totality of their other writings prove it. And you have demonstrated yourself to be well read enough to know this already.
@woodyhambrick "might makes right" is not a valid reason to assume legality. If Nullification was struck down in 1833 then why was it tried again by individual states in the North with the Fugitive Slave Law of 1850?
@woodyhambrick If you read enough history you'll see that nothing in history is a settled fact because we do not have enough information to fully reconstruct the past
This idea comes from the school of Said, Turner, and other anti-orientalist scholars.
There is empirical evidence. The problem is, not the lack of evidence, but the lack of ability to exercise revisionist history freely. So we have to discount the known record so we can say what we want history to be rather than to stick to the record.
Simply, history is a record. Anything that comes from outside the written record is not history, even if the record is not complete.
Nullification.....Are you fucking serious. Did this guy live under a rock during the civil rights struggle. If Ron Paul had been in charge then, the white supremacists would have undoubtedly won....
Except nullification has been mostly used by union states who wanted to abolish slavery in their territory, which went against federal law at the time. Also, he doesn't want to remove medicare and social security, but make future participation in it voluntary, while paying the current recepients with money saved from the defense budget. Our youth is already overburdened by student loans to afford another social welfare tax. Stop parroting propaganda and do some research.
@shotsky94 Well, the hard-core Democrats would vote against Paul. But then, they would vote against any Republican. Thinking Democrats already realize that Obama is just Bush II's third term - on steroids. Bush had two wars. Obama didn't end them, he's busy starting several more. Bush had "prescription drug benefit", while Obama has Obamacare. Bush doubled the debt. Obama's going to more than double it again. Bush: Guantanamo. Obama? Promised to close Guantanamo.
@kurtaDHS73 Nah, i'm sorry, but what you're saying is wishful thinking. By the time, the democrats release a couple ads showing his support for ending medicare or phasing it out, his campaign will be over. Medicare and Social Security are unbelievably popular in this country and if elders see someone who looks as if he's trying to impose a radical overhaul, then he's virtually toast...
@shotsky94 : his answers were not pathetic. What's pathetic is that the majority of americans are so ignorant to their history that they believe Ron Paul's answers to these questions are pathetic.
If you live in fear, then the "terrorists" have already won.
@johnjen5321 Its not about living in fear. Its about having common sense. He didnt even have any type of response to what to do when the patriot act is not there....But look at what he's proposing---free-market fanaticism, no medicare and no social security, nullification, etc.....Its just so sad that you cant open your eyes to the stupidity of this man...
Would love to see RP win, put Judge Nap into AG and a few other Austro-libertarians like Stephan Kinsella, Tom Woods, Robert Murphy etc to work slashing the US empire and police state.
Bastiat started me on the libertarian journey nearly 20 years ago. "The Law" removed the blinders...Then within the parst 3 years - Rockwell, Rothbard, Doug Casey, Hoppe, Woods, etc. No turning back after that.
If Bastiat were alive today, he'd be a voluntaryist.
@YJohannM I had a feeling when he was stammering that he was considering plugging a Rothbard work (Ethics of Liberty or For A New Liberty), but obviously those two are a little too controversial :)
I think Paul's answer on regulation could be better. He should point out that a market can only regulate by fear of loss. He should point out all of the things that govt. has done to take away the fear of loss for corporations. For instance, limited liability corporations take away fear of loss for shareholders (CEO's are frequently the largest shareholders). We should bring back full liability. Collectivized risk, govt. guarantees, bailouts, the FED, all take away fear of loss.
I like how Ron Paul doesnt answer half the questions. He doesnt say anything about how to stop terrorism, now says he doesnt want to end the Federal Reserve despite his previous speeches, willing to sign programs that are unconstitutional. Total hypocrite.
@knight4justice did they ask him how to stop terrorism? no his foreign policy is very clear about how he would stop it also i think you are a little confused about him being willing to sign programs that arnt constitutional, the only reason he is willing to do so is because if he just shut down all the programs he's getting rid of in one day then the country would be in chaos he's willing to sign programs that are little by little weening us off so before you blast him listen to him.
@Jpayne9090 The excuse Ron Paul just gave is the same excuse Obama gave. He is not going to end the fed. Ron Paul is the guy who stands off to the side and screams a lot. But when you try to get an actual plan out of him he doesnt have anything. He is a screamer not a leader. Doesnt that sound like someone who is president right now?
Some how his ideas sound good, but you cannot put them into practical application which is why you got a cop out answer from him.
@ryanisfootdrums Ron Paul has never said anything about gradually ending the Fed before. He is just doing what Obama does. Then if Ron Paul gets in and everything falls apart under him, he will just point the finger at someone else.
Why is it that people think you can "stop terrorism?" You CAN'T stop terrorism. You can have sound policies to make your chances of terrorism smaller, like not going and blowing every darn country up that looks at you funny. You would have as much chance stopping terrorism as you would burglary, or assault, or anything else that we deal with in this imperfect world.
He is sound on his transition plans for the Fed, besides, you hear anyone else say they would eliminate any?
@techhunter74 yes you can stop terrorism which is why there hasnt been another major terrorist attack on America since 9/11. Plus we arent blowing up every country that looks at us funny. You have been listening to way too much Ron Paul propaganda.
Ron Paul has no clue what he is talking about which is why you got cop out answers from him during this interview.
@knight4justice "He doesn't say anything about how to stop terrorism". Wrong. He explains that you can't stop "terrorism" because it's an idea, a tactic. It's impossible to "prevent" crime without destroying liberty. You said "He doesn't want to end the Federal Reserve". Wrong again. He wants to gradually phase it out and end it. This has always been his position. He does not want to sign laws that are unconstitutional. This is also a lie.
@ACDC7369 Ron Paul has never said anything about gradually ending the Federal Reserve before. He is going to get into office and realize we need the Federal Reserve. Saying he wants to gradually end it is a cop out because he knows he cant.
Yes you can stop terrorism, that is why there hasnt been another major terrorist attack on America since 9/11. Ron Paul is just clueless and has no idea about what he is talking about.
@knight4justice There had been no major terrorist attacks BEFORE 9/11. Well there was Oklahoma.. but oh wait, it was in response to the Waco raids by the government. Middle Eastern countries wouldn't want too attack us if we strayed out of their business and let countries take care of their own problems. We aren't supposed to be the world police, it only creates hate against us.
@TheStarvingSamurai 9/11 wasnt the first attack on the world trade center. Pre 1979 we had almost zero presence in the Middle East and they still hated us.
@knight4justice The first attack was in 1993, and do you know why? Yousef's reason was because the US was giving aid out to Israel and interfering with countries' internal affairs in the Middle East. Ever hear of The 1953 Iranian coup d'état? Ya know, when the US and UK intelligence agencies overthrew the ELECTED president of Iran and installed the Shah. Us has been in their business for decades, even before 1979. That is why they hate us.

Washington himself knew that alliance was necessary. He was keenly aware that we won our independence because of alliances.
But even more so, with the world as it is today (one can leave Europe and reach the shores of the US on the same day, rather than in two months) it would be impossible to be isolationists as Ron Paul wants us to be.
woodyhambrick 2 months ago
Context is everything.
What was Washington talking about?
Do you know?
Because knowing what he was talking about is the context for the statement.
When Washington left office, Adams and Jefferson were fighting to align the us with either France or Britain. Adams wanted Britain, and Jefferson wanted France.
Washington knew that those two empires were headed for war (again) and he knew that we should not join either because they would insist on our involvement. Neutrality would keep us out of it.
woodyhambrick 2 months ago

After the election I will be happy, and all the Paultards will be stoned, illegally.
woodyhambrick 2 months ago
@woodyhambrick calling his supporters "paultards" simply because you are incapable of defending your illogical position does not make your argument stronger. Ron Paul's foreign policy would make us stronger; its the foreign policy youre advocating that causes blowback like 9/11. Claiming that all Ron Paul supporters are stoners is a strawman argument, the sign of a desperate loser

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Ron Paul is a danger, and ACDC7369, You are an idiot!
If he dropped his legalization plan you would drop him.
woodyhambrick 2 months ago

smujismuj 2 months ago
@woodyhambrick Ya, no torture, no crony capitalism & bailouts, no undeclared wars & endless militarism...no out-of-control deficit spending & destruction of our currency & national sovereignty, no globalist owned & controlled Federal Reserve System, warrantless wiretapping, indefinite detention...it would be just ANARCHY without these. Sorry Woody, you're the 'danger' and you're dead when you suggest that Ron Paul's only appeal is the decriminalization of drugs.
realjoeplummer 2 months ago 21
@woodyhambrick I've read the Constituion many times. You obviously haven't if you think the phrase "Pursuit of Happiness" is in it. Paul is not an anarchist, that is a baseless lie. I don't smoke pot. Your claim that his only real appeal is to legalize drugs is also a baseless lie. That strawman tactic of yours is the sign of a desperate loser who can't back up his own arguments with logic

You must be consistent.
woodyhambrick 2 months ago
@woodyhambrick Ron Paul does not want to "legalize drugs". That implies a federal law legalizing all drugs. He wants to get the Federal government out of the issue and let the states decide whether or not to make drugs illegal. Your post is full of misinformation. His views on freedom are consistent with the original intent of the Constitution.
ACDC7369 2 months ago

Ron Paul interprets the constitution through a 21st century World view. He has no historic perspective. The framers of this country were from the enlightenment era. Their intent for freedom was based on the idea of 'disinterestedness.' Ron Paul's idea of freedom is not anchored in 'disinterestedness,' but in hedonism. The framers of this nation believed in personal freedoms, but there were also controls on society for the common good. Hedonism is expressly spoken against by them.

@knight4justice your post is full of lies and defamation
ACDC7369 2 months ago
@ACDC7369 tell me what is inaccurate. I like how Ron Paul couldnt answer the question about what he would do to stop terrorism. Then he went from saying he would end the Fed to he would gradually end the Fed (we all know he wont actually end it because this is the same excuse Obama is using now.
There are no lies or defamation in my post. If there are please tell me. Ron Paul doesnt have a plan for anything. He just stands off to the side and screams.
knight4justice 2 months ago
@knight4justice It wasn't a matter at all of Paul not being able to answer the question of terrorism. The Oklahoman attempted to make the illegal point that it was entirely OK to subvert the constitution when emotion was involved. Paul then deflected the question because it was based on the unconstitutional premise of ignoring state law. The question asked Paul was about the FEDERAL level. Paul stated the question was moot because state's rights were the only thing applicable. And he was right.
MSmithjazz 2 months ago
@MSmithjazz if what you and Ron Paul is saying in true. Dont you have to wonder what gave Lincoln the power to send troops into the South during the Civil War. That was a clear violation of states sovereignty because there is nothing in the Constitution that says states cant leave the union. You have been listening to way too much Ron Paul Propaganda. Look at practical application then you will realize how crazy Ron Paul is.
knight4justice 2 months ago
@knight4justice In your bluster to wave a fist you've missed a big chunk of your education. Let me assist you. Texas v. White is settled law. It stands for the proposition that the Constitution prohibits unilateral secession. This was the premise for why Lincoln invaded the south. So is this what it's come down to now with you anti Paul sheep baaaaing believe anythings? Supreme Court rulings on constitutional law are propaganda? Please go home and read up. This should have embarrassed you.
MSmithjazz 2 months ago
@MSmithjazz Texas vs White was in 1869. Civil War was in 1861. All you had to do was look at a timeline to know your argument amounts to nothing.
knight4justice 2 months ago
@knight4justice Moreover, your own reaction here alongside the obvious misrepresentations are no more than talking points thrown out there to keep the status quo in tact and your own personal freedoms repressed. Continue to believe this dinosaur manipulation of the rule of law all you want. The time for this way of thinking has long passed and thankfully a larger number have wised up. There's a constitution already in place. It's our law and the only law. Either abide by it or step off.
MSmithjazz 2 months ago

Yeah, but don't pretend it were completely unprovoked.
Know about Operation Ajax? Perhaps (just perhaps...) overthrowing another countries democratically elected government, isn't a very good way to get that countries people to like you?
But let's not forget, your constant support of the Iraelies is probably the biggest reason muslim fundamentalists hate you.
lAmWatchingYou 2 months ago
@lAmWatchingYou did you also know Khomeini supported the Shah in 1953 and opposed Mossadegh. Ayatollah Kashani was a supporter of Mossadegh and turned then said Mossadegh needs to be executed. did you also know the Shah had the power to dismiss the Prime Minister in 1953 Iran. Mossadegh was in violation of the Iranian Constitution. So Khomeini supports the Shah in 1953, then hates us for what happened in 1953 even though we both supported the same person. LOL
knight4justice 2 months ago
@knight4justice
How is it significant who supported who or who violated the Iranian constitution? Doesn't make the coup justified as far as I'm concerned. It was all about oil for the Brits and Yanks, that's all it ever was, not justice.
lAmWatchingYou 2 months ago
@lAmWatchingYou because people say the Iranians hate us because of 1953 and the 1979 Revolution happened because of 1953. But the same people who led the 1979 revolution also supported the Shah in 1953.
BTW, it was the Iranian Army that staged the coup and removed Mossadegh. Have you ever wondered how a vodka drinking man who knew no Persian, nothing of Persian politics or Persian politics was able to stage a coup and remove the most "popular" Prime Minister ever?

That has been the law of the land since the beginning of our country,
woodyhambrick 2 months ago
@woodyhambrick google "patriot act not used for terrorism". its an objective, verifiable fact that the sneak and peek warrants authorized under the patriot act have been used for thousands of cases, less than 1% of which have been terrorism-related. so talk about "enemy combatants" is irrelevant, because this part of the patriot act is being used against citizens for all kinds of crimes, but not to prosecute terrorism.

Nullification was struck down in 1833.
The Federal Government was prepared to militarily occupy South Carolina who had used Nullification to repeal federal Tariff.
The vote by congress to give authority to occupy SC and force compliance effectively ended Nullification.
Just like his views on a constitution out of context, Ron Paul has no historic perspective.

He is no constitutionalist!
woodyhambrick 2 months ago
@woodyhambrick all those examples you list were handled by the individual states. Morality legislation is best left to the community closest to the individual. The farther away the government is to the people the harder it is to control and enact change (another enlightenment idea). Your idea of enlightenment ideas of self-improvement are valid which is why there is the clause pertaining to the promoting of arts and science.
demolama 2 months ago
@demolama
The promotion of arts specifically are 'big government' and are a response to enlightenment, not a tenet of enlightenment.
Science has always (undeniably) been advance best outside of government. The largest jumps in science (again, undeniably) have come as a response to war efforts.
Can you agree that Ron Paul has a modern world view of the constitution and that most of his support comes as a result of his stated plan to legalize recreational drug use?
woodyhambrick 2 months ago
@woodyhambrick If anything I can say that Paul's ideals come out of the age of Jackson. Similar to the Jacksonian Democrats, Paul feels like a constant "outsider" who is very worried about encroachment of power on the individual. Jacksonians felt the government restricted freedom and felt localism and natural law rather than nationalism and positive law were more desirable. Credit and debt were seen by Jacksonians as slavery, and paper money represented faux wealth.
demolama 2 months ago
@demolama

He does not know the constitution or history.
woodyhambrick 2 months ago
@woodyhambrick Dont tell that to the Paultards. They will go apeshit on anything that goes against their utopian world view...

woodyhambrick 2 months ago
@woodyhambrick "might makes right" is not a valid reason to assume legality. If Nullification was struck down in 1833 then why was it tried again by individual states in the North with the Fugitive Slave Law of 1850?
demolama 2 months ago
@demolama
Nullification, as Ron Paul errantly stated he would use it, was historically neutered in 1833.
Jackson postulated that Nullification would negate the union as a whole. With Nullification there is no federal entity at all.
Thus is was effectively neutered.
This is settled historic fact.
woodyhambrick 2 months ago
@woodyhambrick If you read enough history you'll see that nothing in history is a settled fact because we do not have enough information to fully reconstruct the past
demolama 2 months ago
@demolama

RON PAUL 2012!
OctobersDying 2 months ago
Nullification.....Are you fucking serious. Did this guy live under a rock during the civil rights struggle. If Ron Paul had been in charge then, the white supremacists would have undoubtedly won....
shotsky94 2 months ago
@shotsky94
Stop parroting propaganda and do some research.

lol what was that at 3:30? is she trying to make an argument? i don't think she understands a word of what he's saying.
Dadge42 2 months ago
Can you imagine Obama debating someone that wants to get rid of medicare. The Democrats will storm to victory in 2012...
shotsky94 2 months ago
@shotsky94 Well, the hard-core Democrats would vote against Paul. But then, they would vote against any Republican. Thinking Democrats already realize that Obama is just Bush II's third term - on steroids. Bush had two wars. Obama didn't end them, he's busy starting several more. Bush had "prescription drug benefit", while Obama has Obamacare. Bush doubled the debt. Obama's going to more than double it again. Bush: Guantanamo. Obama? Promised to close Guantanamo.
Paul would cream Obama
kurtaDHS73 2 months ago
@kurtaDHS73 Nah, i'm sorry, but what you're saying is wishful thinking. By the time, the democrats release a couple ads showing his support for ending medicare or phasing it out, his campaign will be over. Medicare and Social Security are unbelievably popular in this country and if elders see someone who looks as if he's trying to impose a radical overhaul, then he's virtually toast...

@shotsky94 : his answers were not pathetic. What's pathetic is that the majority of americans are so ignorant to their history that they believe Ron Paul's answers to these questions are pathetic.
If you live in fear, then the "terrorists" have already won.
johnjen5321 2 months ago
@johnjen5321 Its not about living in fear. Its about having common sense. He didnt even have any type of response to what to do when the patriot act is not there....But look at what he's proposing---free-market fanaticism, no medicare and no social security, nullification, etc.....Its just so sad that you cant open your eyes to the stupidity of this man...

You don't have to agree with Ron Paul on every issue to realize he is by far the best candidate in the field. Ron Paul is the best choice for 2012.
SirTenenbaum 2 months ago

Total hypocrite.
knight4justice 2 months ago
@knight4justice did they ask him how to stop terrorism? no his foreign policy is very clear about how he would stop it also i think you are a little confused about him being willing to sign programs that arnt constitutional, the only reason he is willing to do so is because if he just shut down all the programs he's getting rid of in one day then the country would be in chaos he's willing to sign programs that are little by little weening us off so before you blast him listen to him.
Jpayne9090 2 months ago
@Jpayne9090 The excuse Ron Paul just gave is the same excuse Obama gave. He is not going to end the fed. Ron Paul is the guy who stands off to the side and screams a lot. But when you try to get an actual plan out of him he doesnt have anything. He is a screamer not a leader. Doesnt that sound like someone who is president right now?
Some how his ideas sound good, but you cannot put them into practical application which is why you got a cop out answer from him.
knight4justice 2 months ago
@knight4justice
He wants to end the federal reserve, but realizes he can't do it over night. That is why he has transition periods.
ryanisfootdrums 2 months ago
@ryanisfootdrums Ron Paul has never said anything about gradually ending the Fed before. He is just doing what Obama does. Then if Ron Paul gets in and everything falls apart under him, he will just point the finger at someone else.
knight4justice 2 months ago
@knight4justice
He is sound on his transition plans for the Fed, besides, you hear anyone else say they would eliminate any?
techhunter74 2 months ago
@techhunter74 yes you can stop terrorism which is why there hasnt been another major terrorist attack on America since 9/11. Plus we arent blowing up every country that looks at us funny. You have been listening to way too much Ron Paul propaganda.
Ron Paul has no clue what he is talking about which is why you got cop out answers from him during this interview.
knight4justice 2 months ago
@knight4justice "He doesn't say anything about how to stop terrorism". Wrong. He explains that you can't stop "terrorism" because it's an idea, a tactic. It's impossible to "prevent" crime without destroying liberty. You said "He doesn't want to end the Federal Reserve". Wrong again. He wants to gradually phase it out and end it. This has always been his position. He does not want to sign laws that are unconstitutional. This is also a lie.
ACDC7369 2 months ago
@ACDC7369 Ron Paul has never said anything about gradually ending the Federal Reserve before. He is going to get into office and realize we need the Federal Reserve. Saying he wants to gradually end it is a cop out because he knows he cant.
Yes you can stop terrorism, that is why there hasnt been another major terrorist attack on America since 9/11. Ron Paul is just clueless and has no idea about what he is talking about.
knight4justice 2 months ago
@knight4justice There had been no major terrorist attacks BEFORE 9/11. Well there was Oklahoma.. but oh wait, it was in response to the Waco raids by the government. Middle Eastern countries wouldn't want too attack us if we strayed out of their business and let countries take care of their own problems. We aren't supposed to be the world police, it only creates hate against us.
TheStarvingSamurai 2 months ago
@TheStarvingSamurai 9/11 wasnt the first attack on the world trade center. Pre 1979 we had almost zero presence in the Middle East and they still hated us.
knight4justice 2 months ago
@knight4justice The first attack was in 1993, and do you know why? Yousef's reason was because the US was giving aid out to Israel and interfering with countries' internal affairs in the Middle East. Ever hear of The 1953 Iranian coup d'état? Ya know, when the US and UK intelligence agencies overthrew the ELECTED president of Iran and installed the Shah. Us has been in their business for decades, even before 1979. That is why they hate us.
