  • your car took a shit...1:02

  • I just love SUBSONIC period. Great home made suppressor btw

  • have you tried different loads to get the subsonic to cycle with the suppressor?

  • Why did you have to constantly pull the bolt back? I thought every legal Ak was semi auto?

  • @Sirdog33 Using Subsonic ammo means that the powder load is less than a standard round so that the bullet is fired just slow enough not to break the sound barrier. Using standard rounds through a suppressor is a pointless because of the loud crack the bullet makes when it breaks the sound barrier and the only real purpose to supressing an AK-47 would be to clear a room or a cave in Afghanistan because the bullet would not travel far enough for the sonic boom to matter in a CQB situation.

  • Nice video. Might want to put on some eye pro. Looked like you got a little blow back on that first shot, could have been worse . Great job on your build. Too bad you had to pay $200 and tell the atf where it is. Hope that extra $200 and infringement on your rights doesn't encourage them anymore.

  • @tadsherrill

It does get a little poof back. Not much though. Thats the reason for the long gas system on that one. A gun that you HAVE TO wear ear and eye protection with is pretty worthless. Several design consideration went into that combo to keep blowback to a minimum.

  • @mikeandnatasha What type of Ak47 is that? The gas piston looks very long.

  • Respond to this video...

FWIW the ATF knows exactly where i am and has for years. You get used to it.

  • ok so can u have an illegal silencer ?

  • @electronicchronic

What makes you think its illegal?

  • @mikeandnatasha its just you said dont worry its not illegal. i thought there might be combat grade silencers or something that are even less loud. but i guess not

  • Its not illegal. You can build your own silencer legally. Just takes a few papers sent into the gov. and a few hundred dollars. "Combat grade" silencers are actually louder than most top performing commercially available silencers. The military is primarily concerned with point of aim shift and durability. Sound performance comes in a distant third in military trials for silencers. Civilian buyers typically have noise reduction as their primary concern. Manufacturers know this.

  • @mikeandnatasha thx. good info nice trcuk 2:)

  • damn thats quiet!!

  • WOLVERINES!!!!!!! hahahahahaha

  • Can you give details on that ammo?

  • wtf is this... ak's are auto

  • @jmassey119 did you not listen? subsonic ammunition requires cycling since theres not enough power for the bolt to slide back. most guns require cycling when using subsonic.

  • Is this just me, or is the recoil louder than the shot? Thanks.

  • very impressive man :) but i rather go for full automatic ak47 if you can silence that to bring down the recoil that would be awseome . although i thing the silencer would get in the way of the gas cage

  • Is that still just a difference of about 30-40dB? The difference seems quite a lot, but it shouldn't be suppressed lower than around 110dB or something.

    Great video though.

  • @BrokenBjartur

You wont find much of anything that goes under 110dB. Without the silencer and with subsonic ammo its probably in the 145 dB range and not much better than 112dB-115dB with the silencer. Full power ammo its going to be more like 160dB unsuppressed and 135dB-ish with the can attached.

  • Sounded like the manual cycling was lounder than the actual firing! Nice one.

  • Ok I know this is a really stupid question, but I dont know anything about bullet types, why do you need to cock it back when using subsonic ammunition?

  • @BlackKnifeFish HE already said the Subsonic ammo doesn't produce enough pressure to complete the cycle.. Although the AK uses a gas piston cycles system.. It still need enough pressure to push back that heavy bolt.

  • @tytzer93 gotcha, thanks for clearing that up.

  • thanks for the quick response. Also, to what range is standard velocity 7.62 ammo accurate and lethal? and can you get hollow point ammo in this calibre?

  • @thermaldog Standard AK's are reasonably accurate and lethal to 300 yards or so. HP and SP ammo is commonly;y available

  • good video. To what range is subsonic this ammo accurate and lethal?

  • @thermaldog

Accurate and lethal to around 100 yards. I dont think I'd want to be hit with one after that though.

  • call of duty should have subsonic ammo, but it would be a bitch on single.

  • Its a hungarian FÉG AMD 65 !!!!

  • @chopper77A81

Just the butt stock. No other Hungarian parts on it.

  • Why is it bolt action?

  • finally a video of a ak47 silenced in real life the only thin youtube gives you is ak47 silenced modern warfare 2

  • @unistenje nah, this is the ak74u. if you see any other video of an ak47, youll notice that the barrel is much longer then this gun and notice where the front iron sight is.

  • @skatermaster10000 ty for the info

  • @skatermaster10000

What does the barrel length have to do with the caliber?

  • @skatermaster10000

Nope. Its a 16 inch barrel . Where the front sight is doesnt make any difference. The caliber means its not a AK-74 of any type. Real guns are not from video games.

  • @mikeandnatasha the barrel just seemed shorter than the ak47s ive seen and also the thing at the back i think its called the stock wouldnt that make it an aks47 cause now im getting really confused

  • @skatermaster10000 Looks can be deceiving.. I can mount a longer RIS system to a 14.5 inch M4 and it'll look shorter. And about the stock, the weapon can have any stock but it's still the same weapon. Like an AR-15 with a fixed stock.

  • its an ak74

  • Haha, the action is louder than the shot itself

  • I just like how at 1:04 your FJ takes a doo doo. lol great work on the can. Ill PM you, im getting my paperwork done and will be in the market.

  • Its a ak74u

  • Great job on the home-made silencer!

  • DUDE!? Are you a fucking hitman!!?

  • holly shit the 7.62 sounds like a .22

  • seeing all your videos i was wondering how much u spend on all these guns and on parts and bullets

  • @xxilikepieboyxx

I doubt I have more than 2 months salary tied up in everything but Ive been at it 20+ years. Keep in mind I get paid well.

  • @mikeandnatasha yeah your probably one of the worlds top assassins, im guessing since you didn't mention what kind of job...

  • @imiritu

    I do midget porn

  • Wow, that IS quiet!

  • would it be cycling sub sonic ammo if you had a week recoil spring in it

  • @paintball633

It might. Ive never tried it. I'm more worried about the possiblility of getting a full power round in there than I am about cycling with subsonic ammo

  • @paintball633 The "weak" recoil spring would probably when compressed to it's fullest (if it ever actually was possible with your load...) not store enough energy to slam back the bolt group, feed a new cartridge and then properly lock the action.

    So have a guess :)

On the other hand, there seems to be a video of a NZ guy who's load does cycle his AK on youtube. Nothing to do with springs, though. Just slower burning powder than what is normally advised for subsonic loads.

    Hope I helped!

  • nice videos!

  • AK47 FAIL

  • wow, that is surprisingly quiet. Much more than I thought it would be.

  • what kind of ak is that if you dont mind me asking. and did you install that style of gas block if not what model comes with that.

  • @fatdan172501

Its one I built specifically for the silencer with a much longer than usual gas system and straight gas port to keep blowback to a minimum. The gas block is a Bulgarian AK100 type.
