on your very first appointment did you get braces?(not consultation apptmnt) or did they have to check for other things like getting  spacers?

umm i can't actually remember...i think they just took moulds of my teeth on the initial appointment...they took x-rays of my whole head (a tad freaky! haha) annnnd...took photos of my face....which was also weird :P

the problem with my teeth is that my bottom jaw is under developed (not severly i dont look retarded)

so the only way i can fix my teeth to be perfect is to get surgery and bring it forward 5mm :(

@googling1234 my bottom jaw is under developed, and unlike you, i do look retarded.

i think mine has to be brought forward about 14mm..

so consider yourself lucky :P

good luck on your surgery if you haven't had it already, i'm getting it done when i'm around 17, so that's 4 years with a massive overbite AND a gap :(

Oh wow your teeth are looking so much better. It must be so much easier now you don't have your retainer. How long overall did you have braces? It must be a relief to get them off.

thanks....i had them just under two years. Its so good not having to brush my teeth when i'm eating in town or at school now! haha

Lol, I have the same problem! Gap between my two front teeth. Not a very good picture. This is my 2nd day wearing braces. Hopefully, my teeth will end up like you. How many months do you have to wear them?

yahh thanks a bunch :D it'll be a lot less hassle when it comes to meal times....no need to carry a toothbrush with me 24/7 or a big ugly box to put the retainer in when i'm eating :P chuffed! take care =)
