  • What's wrogn? In 2007, when it was added it should gain more minuses than pluses, i mean longer red field than the green one. In 2007 it was the first time of V8 instead of V10, so the sound of engine god worse. :]

  • F1 and group C cars sound the best by far

  • If Bernie and FIA keep fucking with F1 and it's engines, wings, tires etc....nobody will be watching in 2012......12,000 RPM? Might as well watch Nascar.........What a fucking shame....

  • Jenson Button should watch this.

  • Yorchreloaded- He got penalize, I think it's 18 sec, he has to wAit until he's let back into the track by a official

  • Why does the car make that strange noise at 0:19?:

  • @dmarkj22 Magic Elves.

  • @dmarkj22 It's the sound of traction control

  • And what are they testing here??? =/

  • that sound is gone in 2013

  • That was a penalty stop and he was pissed!

  • The vid sound does'nt even come close to the live thing. I once witnessed race at hungaroring budapest. Man when those guys shift gear down before a turn..it's like goddamn thunder. It's like : BAM- BAM- BAM shifting gears down like gun shots.

  • It's a Super Aguri circa 2007 with the 2.4 litre v8 engine. We need the v10's back so bad.I stood next to Montoya's Maclaren in 2005 with a v10 and when he put it on the rev limiter the ground shook.v8's are weak.

  • this is not an F1 car.

  • @Kororock HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

  • @Claymore2408 What's so funny?

  • @Kororock Your comment is so stupid that it's funny, IT IS AN F1 Car, 2004 V10 model. Stop commenting on things that you know jack about.

  • @Claymore2408 If I knew it was a 2004 model I wouldn't make that mistake..

But the video doesn't say the year and F1 cars have changed a lot since then.. that's why I thought it wasn't. And I know enough of F1 racing, I don't need your opinion to tell me that.. Next time speak more ggently, don't behave like a child.

  • @Kororock Well sorry if i have offended you but if you knew alot about F1, you wouldn't make that mistake in the first place ;) You don't need to know the year, it's pretty obvious on which year this F1 car was and it's an super aguri.

  • @Claymore2408 Dude, I need to now the year because if I don't know it I can only guess... Anyway, I didn't said that I know a lot about F1. I said I know enough of F1.

As you can imagine I have a purpose in this life and some goals... unlike others.

  • @Kororock I'm a studying aerodynamic engineering so my life revolves around these stuffs.

  • @Claymore2408 Well done then! By the way, I don't really care...

    Anyway, let's end this here.

  • Lol forget the sound and check the size difference between the two guys walking past each other at the end, jeeez!

  • remember how sato overtook alonso canada 2007 hehe, btw super aguri has been killed by FIA but shit as usf1 and that crap are allowed?

  • i love the tick over sound, just brilliant

  • nice

  • Lucky to be there !!!

  • Awesome raw video. Sad to see the old Aguri though. Another team that fell victim to Bernie and Max's greed.

  • the 1 with kubica is betta and louder that is completely shit

  • Camera jumped as he revved. Haha

  • no no senza minimo !

  • Sounds like it's eating tigers at 0:20. Haha.

  • what where you doing there?/? Whas it Thursday when you can visit pits???

  • I was working.. I'm a journalist

  • lucky prick

  • @arjanhoefakker you still work as a journalist to this day with f1? if so you are a lucky bugger! lol

  • @arjanhoefakker

    I´m 16 and you´ve got my dream-job !

Congratulations, hope we´ll see us in some years =) ...

  • damn.. what do those things idle at?

  • 7000rpm

  • why so high? to give them good jumps or something?

  • holeyyy shit? such amazing machines! im not looking foward to the change next season

  • Not 7000, but something around 2-3000RPM

  • Since i know the exact value of this i will tell you. The RPM at idle is 3500 - 4500 depending on the manufacturer, air temp, humidity temp. The RPM has to be high in order to provide high oil pressure for engine lubrication. Also, the engine is oil cooled and the high RPM help cooling the engine when idling for a longer periods.

  • Depends. V10 types are revs 5500-7000 idle in cold time, in heated time 5000-6000. V8 doing that in 4500-5500 in heated, 5000-6000 in cold time. Don't ask me why i'm just watch the tv-show when they talking about that. Why so high? i don't know. it depends about many factors.

  • they needs revs to high on idle because it doesn't have much torque at low rpm and need start race with 6000-7000 when power starting to grow up, so can reach 18-19k rpm in just short period.

you now know why gasoline engines need start at high and diesel at low rpm. torque. also electric motors have lot of torque at the same start (0 rpm-max rpm=torque is the same all the time)

  • they stall if the rpms drop to low. THAT is why they idle so high.

  • Exactly. And if they stall... That could cost a lot...

  • cool

  • at 0:22 the car sounds like a tiefighter from star wars :D

  • HAHAHAHA YOU'RE RIGHT xD!!!

  • the dark force is strong in that engine WAHAHAHAHA!

  • Hmm, does this car have a V8 engine?

  • Yeah, its a V8.

  • how is that a pit stop?

  • Its a practice pitstop, teaching the driver to stop on his marks 4 the required amount of time, then get away as quickly as possible.

  • so how many F1 testing sessions have u been to nutterwivaputter? i cn b quite confident in saying iv prob been to more, its not for the mechanics, they need to train the driver, otherwise there would be more incidents of drivers hittings mechanics.

  • of cause you do, you've worked for 1 of the teams then?? I doubt it

  • R.I.P Super Aguri.

  • wow , what a lovely shout at full throttle

  • I notice the rear wheels spun as he drove off after the pit stop test. Even using traction control ?

  • Probably something about the best acceleration comes from just the right amount of wheelspin. But I'm no expert, I just read a lot of MotorTrend...

  • acceleration comes from maximum grip and when your wheels spin, you don't have maximum grip.

It's the same with braking - as long as wheels spin you have maximum grip and braking force is optimal, but when wheels start to slide and block you're skating, not braking.

    it's pure physics.

  • Actually, these tyres are designed to work with a certain degree of slip.

  • Wooooo, gotta love it

    F1 FtW

    Raikkonen FtW

    :D

  • How does a guy get to work on f1 cars? I already have some college education in automotive technology, but dont really know where to go from there.

  • start working on open wheel cars. in u.s or canada. start somewhere small and work your way up :D . or travel to europe and work there.open wheel racing is big there :D. I know a guy who works for honda for the ama superbikes and he started in a shop called mcbrides in toronto canada. now he is on a full fledged team and everything :D

  • The idle is so high. o-o

  • f1 best sound ever

  • congratulations electrik, you're part of the retarded 1% that would prefer a camaro sound to an f1 sound in a poll.

  • Wow. A touring car sounds better than an F1 racer, are you mad?

  • who sed this

  • WTCC - World Touring Car Championship... :/

  • matterno2, u never watch f1 before??

    the sound is greatest.

  • nothing comes even close..........

  • sorry materno2, all other racing cars sound WEAK compared to an F1 engine

  • you mean the volume? or just the sound? :)

  • @claudew182 I know that your comment was three years ago, but Top Fuel Dragster engines are absolutely thunderous.

  • @john25992 Dragsters are funny caricatures of racing cars claudew182 meant the kind of cars pilots race.

  • @boardernut There is a 'pilot' in a top fuel car. They are pure awesome; their characteristics are far from exaggerated. They're just fucking brilliant!

  • @john25992 I imagine they are fun to watch in person, aren't they?

  • @claudew182 Yup, actually idle of an F1 engine is already a lot louder than some racing car at full throttle.

  • @claudew182 No the dont

  • @ptrickot yes its true:P you just dont hear the real noise on vids

  • @claudew182 AHAHAH now that was funny! Do you really think so? just search on youtube for Georg Plasa / R.I.P. he died recently in a crash with that car.

  • @otirs n00b revlimit moved down to 10k.on a judd F1 in a bmw. No restrictor hence the distinct intake sound.Top Fuels makes thunder sound weak. 0 - 500kmh in 3.8secs

  • @letmesnitch 500 km/h? o.O

  • @celularfeoz6 yup.. the world record run is 3.770 @ 324.98mph (520 km/h) - /watch?v=PyaRQB2RVWQ

  • @letmesnitch Wow! Didn't know. thx

  • LMAO @ wtcc

  • That's pretty sick man...

  • Sorry patvr4tt, but this engine had a minimun of 8500 rpm, redline at 19000rpm and it is a 2.4 litre V8. The valvetrain-this is true-have crossing angle that can't be seen on other cars...maybe WRC.

  • They idle at 5000rpm and redline at 18000 and it has nothing to do with porting it is the 4.3 litre v8 and valvetrain from hell!!!

  • 4.3 ??? its a 2.4...

  • Yeh your right my bad they are 2.4. My point was about the valvetrain being the reason they can have such a high idle and redline not because of porting.

  • yeah thats right. nothing too correct in that statment :P

  • yeah thats right. nothing too correct in that statment :P

  • Must be ported hard. High idle!?

  • they also have a short stroke. piston travels less so they can have a higher constant rotating speed

  • almost like a turbine

  • I COULD LISTEN TO THAT SOUND ALL DAY!

  • Awesome, I sat opposite the pit straight at Monza while they were doing test stops on the Friday, its an awesome some when the traction control is fighting the engine, will post some vids if I can be arsed!!
