  • Thumbs up if Pink Floyd is better live because David Gilmour is a god jamming out on the guitar

  • @Th3Dav33dSh0w that's pretty sad you're comparing live to album...so sad...no respect...and quit with the "thumbs up if" ...that shit is sooooooooooo old

  • WRIGHT IS A GOD

  • favorite song!!! damn, it flows so good to my ears

  • men if it werent for richard whrigt darks side of the moon would have one just another album

  • 1:10 Gilmour: DAYUM.

  • Oh God... It sounds orgasmic live

  • This is my favorite track from the album. I LOVE PINK FLOYD!!!!!!!!!

  • These shows at earls court would have been the most epic time to ever take acid or shrooms!

  • @MorningView4 My dad had some shrooms just before leaving the hotel to go and see this very show... said it was the most amazing experience he'd ever had!

  • 2 people are colour-blind.

  • David Gilmore is chewing that guitar... F***ing amazing

  • Pink Floyd's music is not played or listened to, it is felt. I discovered this when I was 10 years old and stole 'The Wall' from my older sister's room. 30 years later and I am still feeling it. Can't say that about too many bands.

  • God I just love how it transitions into "Brain Damage".

Pink Floyd managed to make the perfect album ever.

I don't give a fuck what anyone says, PF is the best band ever formed, no other band will ever do what they did to music. I pray that someone will come along, but these basterds were just tooo good.

All band band members compliment each so perfectly, and they fuckin write dreams or drug induced highs or whatever you wanna call it. RIP Rick. Long Live Pink Floyd

  • R.I.P. RICK

  • go rick!

  • God this is so goooooodddd

  • Gilmour's gtr is wetter than a prostitute's pussy I love it!

  • fuuuk yea!!!

  • a 2 persone non piace l'apoteosi musicale???

  • one of my favorite pink floyd songs

  • Divine !!!

  • better than grandma's pancakes

  • Probably the most under-rated Floyd song!

  • What you just heard was... It was an echo from heaven...

  • how did dave gilmour get that guitar tone? an auto wah?

  • @Teutonic1250 I'm not entirely sure. I use Uni Vibe, Compression, Delay, and Chorus. You could also use some kind of harmonizer. That kind of mixes with the Chorus and gives it that 'wet' tone.

  • creo k si sabes de musica is forever men ho my God

  • David glimoure, you have the best style!

  • This is why i love the key of Dminor. So i can play those licks.

  • Well, there's keyboard done tastefully and then there's obnoxious cheesy keyboard. Rick Wright provided us with the former.

  • Whoever disputes keyboards in rock and roll should listen to this song 1 thousand times over!!

  • This is one of those songs where the absence of Roger's bass really makes a difference. The guy filling in is a good technical bassplayer, but this song is really a product of the styles of all four guys, especially the bass. Great performance, though.

  • Definately one of their best performances!

  • does anybody know anythign about their tour in australia in may of this year. i wanna buy some tickets but i cant find much information on whos actually gonna be singing and shit because david gilmour is getting mad old so i dont know if he can even stil sing. and wright is gone now. so can anybody help me out?

  • dude, i don't even know where to begin on all the things that are wrong with that comment

  • i use a crunchy tone, compression, and uni-vibe. not to mention a touch or reverb and some delay.

and i use the neck and middle pick up with the tone half to all the way down.

i'm happy with the sound i have.

  • This is Richard Wright at his best. RIP

  • When I play this I use both a chorus and a flanger effect at once with quite some speed on it. It's not exactly the same as on the album, but for playing along the Live version it actually sounds quite like the real deal.

  • no not tremolo, its uni-vibe.

  • agreed tremolos sound more square wave , univibes have that pulsating throb to the sound (wow doesnt that sound perverted ) haha but yeah if youve got both you know what i mean. a phase 90 on max speed does a pretty good job too but because its OP amp based not an optocell it doesnt have that univibe doppler effect.

  • He uses tremolo with a compression..

  • cant have been a flanger on the album version because bucket brigade chips werent invented then and david didnt use the electric mistress flanger untill animals and the wall , the dsotm version used a maestro rotating speaker most probably set on fast to give a leslie effect , and i suspect due to the throbbing in the tone he had his univibe which he used set at a similar speed. but as for this version well daves pulse board was HUGE who knows what he used .

  • what guitar effect is gilmour using for that awesome sound?

  • chorus...with a distortion...and something more but i can't hear it

  • sorry not a distortion...a overdrive...tube overdrive

  • yep plus some Flinger + gilmour cocktail effect

  • totaly true....nice tone

    !

  • Ive learned alot , from this improvised solo of his.......

  • what an awesome solo.

  • rick ci mancherai... da Umbria

  • RIP Rick, you were the colour of Floyd.

  • @RCAvhstape Rick Astley?!

  • i love the original bass part written by waters, in the original version of 1973, it's simple but great. This bass is also brilliant but more elaborate than waters'.

  • psicodelica psicodelia psicodelia pura

    love pink floyd

  • el mejor de los pink floyd sin duda

  • "magic"

  • Mindblowing

  • this right here is the reason i picked me up a Fender Stratocaster.

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • Pink Floyd hates "BrokenChair88".

  • Cool! They acknowledged me!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! !!

  • rest in peace richard wright.

  • Excelente sonido. Transporta tu mente al pasado.

  • Nick MAson forever....Floyd the best!!!

  • at last i see someone saying something about nick... =)

  • Regarding Gilmour's guitar and the album: apart from the Uni-Vibe and his Fuzz Face, he probably also used a Hi-Fli guitar processing unit for an aut-wah and treble booster effect. He had this same processor with him for the Earls Court shows in May 1973 but I'm not aware of what exactly he used it for then.

  • Your right, it's a leslie.

  • I have the same keyboard they use a Kurtzveil K2Vx.

  • It's a rotary Leslie

  • This is good and all, but man, find a version of this song from ANY bootleg from the early 70s and it blows this one out of the water

  • magic

  • what effect is gilmour using

  • That would be a univox uni-vibe, also I absolutely love this piece, awesome tone, it's something I like to lift a few pints to.

  • I was there the night they filmed this. One of the nights of my life.

  • What effect does Gilmour use on his guitar solo here? Is it just light distortion and delay?

  • On Dark Side of the Moon Gilmour uses a Uni-Vibe pedal, but this doesn't sound like it. Could be a leslie speaker.

  • i love those synths

  • this song defines pink floyd

  • I agree, all PF songs are great but this one is just magical.

  • Rick Wright, tu avais déjà atteint le paradis avec ce titre... Où es-tu maintenant ?

  • it sounded nicer when they were on LSD

  • Rick Wright couldnt even take a hit of pot and play well on stage. Aside from Waters, Pink Floyd were not big druggies at all, go read a book.

  • You mean aside from Syd.

  • The Sounds the Sights . . .Thanks for the Journey. .will miss this Great musician. .but there sound will live on! Thanks Rick!

  • Richard Wright--- a great musician! RIP, rick.

  • rest in peace rick

  • love you richard

  • extreme quantity of LSD to make this! *O*

    but

    awesomeeee

  • what the hell are you talking about

  • its not necessary if you love music, you can do pieces of art, you dont have to depend on outside substances to make good things

  • he's just kidding man... its okey... he said that because of the psychedelich of the song....
