  • You can really see how far the guide pulley is from the sprockets compared to slant parallelogram designs.

  • I had a switch done from 6spd campagnolo freewheel hub to a shimano 7spd HG50 IG hub and use a shimano IG chain the shifting is very smooth. I have a Campognolo Victory rear derailleur but am switching to a modern Campy Veloce and might go to an 8spd rear cassette. It is important to always use the Shimano IG chain with Shimano IG50 cassette. SRAM chains supposedly work well with IG system but personally I would keep Shimano match to cassette and chain.

  • youre taking lots of artistic license pairing a superrecord rear with an eyeletted frame....maybe a big chainring, but I find the mixing of church and state a bit unsettling

  • @hanktheking - If Nuovo Record was good enough for touring frames, Super is just the same (further, the Superior is a sports/touring frame; definitely not quite a Trek 720). For that matter, SR does have more chain take-up.

  • @hanktheking Campagnolo didn't change the cage design allowing a 28T cog to be used so that Francesco Moser no longer had to push his bike up steep hills- It was a modification for the cycletourists and recreational riders.

  • so clean..

  • very nice
