@0neofthem The remake was a joke! I was very excited to learn that a remake was being made when I saw it I laughed through about half of it. It is true that I am very hard on movies but give me a break.

The things that made the original great are; The music, Glenn Ford, Van Heflin, Richard Jackal, Henry Jones, the music, the way the old towns were represented (bars with little or no people in them, streets that are empty. People that lived the hard life.... Look for continued comments...

@altaboyd That is the way they were.) did I mention the music. I do not think that any movie has ever used music any better than this one, and the script was superb. I am 55 years old and for about 45 of them I called this the best western that was ever made. (the most unrealistic part in the original was Ben and the bar girl. But saying that, the lines in that part of the movie were very good)

The remake was so unrealistic in so many ways... look for more comments...

Come on Peter Fonda getting shot at close range in the gut and the next day he is on a horse riding across the country????? Ever here of a guy named Harvey Oswald??? The ending was so dumb. Ben kills his whole gang, people he trusted with his life for years and years, for a guy who just met. A guy who is taking him to Jail... look for more comments...

@altaboyd . Yes I understand that Ben was seeing the world in a new light but come on! There were many other things that were so dumb that I really don’t even try to remember. I will say that I have never saw a remake that had so many of the same exact lines from the original in it. I know the original lines very, very good. And over and over the new one used them. Like I said the Script was excellent in the original.

I am sill looking for the movie version of the song 3:10 to Yuma on CD.

The original was better but both are great films. I've been a big christian bale fan for years but you don't have to read up on the character too much to see that he was miscast.

oh yeah, definitely one of my favorite categories of music, Western. I loved Unforgiven, the original Alamo, Blazing Saddles lol, Few Dollars More, Good, Bad, Ugly, the Big Country, of course now this movie, and the list just continues. Westerns are an authentic American classic.

Hmmmmm.... I read your comments further down, and it's obviously not the original 1957 trailer.

Plus I just realized they didn't use those 'Clint Eastwood' type voices for narration on trailers back in 1957.

I made this trailer durrent our current millenium (I think it was around late 2000). The voice your hear in this trailer is Jonathan Cook. He's one of the top VO guys in Hollywood. I did a bunch of Western trailers with him. I will post more in the near future.

Thanks! I think the film is pretty good. It's not a classic like THE SEARCHERS or THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY, but it's an engaging western. Ford is great as usual.

Well, thanks, but I did have some help in putting this together. I was the creative director on this trailer. I supervised the script, produced and co-edited it and supervised the sound mix with some talented people. We tried to make it look like an older trailer when we did it, which was actually around the year 2000.
