I know I've already commented on this one and it is as great as the first time I watched it but I've just noticed something different. You have no distinctive facial expression changes like you have now. I believe you may be "feeling the music" more now whereas when you were 14, it was more of a task of just playing along. I still truly believe there is a future for you in music. Remember, backstage pass when it happens!!!!
@9thWardJukebox Backstage pass, for sure! And...Front row seats, for sure!
I agree with you. I feel myself feeling it more. Thank you for the nice comment and for noticing. Your support is so great,! I feel like I can do anything after I read your comments. Thank you!.
love Gate and you do him proud here. Now THIS is a little more how I sounded when I played blues at your age, but still, to this day I sound more teenage than this and I am now 42. Keep at it, you are truly the best young guitarist I have ever heard, and this from someone who spent my late teens going to blues jams and showing up old guys who thought they were Clapton.
I cannot believe how crisp your playing is. I turned 50 a few weeks ago, always wanted to play the guitar. I finally bought one and started taking lessons. I am a huge SRV fan, blues etc. I read somewhere you've been playing around 6 years or so. I seriously think someone needs to pick you up and get your name noticed. If they can get Desiree Bassett on stage, you need to be there also.
@wordhog61 Thank you so very much for this very inspiring comment. It means a lot to me! Everything you said completed flattered me beyond belief! Thank you, again, for the encouragement and kindness.
I have a very generous grandfather and very generous parents, and they support me all the way. I have bought some of my guitars, but they have bought almost all of them.
@pmay222 Well, thank you so much. I appreciate that fact that you like my playing. The "refreshing" part was really flattering!! Cheers and thanks again.
Heyyyyyyyyy, Most people here under 25 don't even know who Clarence Gatemouth Brown was. This one heads to the top of my blog and probably will remain there until a week before the New Orleans Jazz Fest. From da Who Dat Nation!!!!! Keep it real!!!!
@piotrek8841 first, alicia is a girl. second: jump blues ist a style you obviously are not acquainted with. just stick to what you know. she did a decent job.
I sure found great pleasure in watching you preform...i'm sure i'm not the only one who noticed your wonderful hand movements...wow...i had a plastic guitar when i was small and all i could play was a few chords of the song Wendy ...
The genre you choose to play is cutthroat with talent and at 14 you sound great!
I'd like to see you do some Gypsy Jazz; cover a Rosenberg tune (any of the guys, or their songs) You can't go wrong with Django, or Lang either. Hit me back and let me know :)
ok, I've been watching your videos and I'm now a huge fan! I've been playing for 34 years and only wish I could play like that! I think I'm gonna cry and sell mt Strat! j/k you rock girl!!!!
It was an pleasure meeting Gatemouth more than once, he could play and swing. You are good Alicia, and he would be proud of you, keep going strong and best wishes!!!!!
Ok, this is now officially getting scary - Alicia, you're SO far advanced for your years! Keep playing the blues, keep playing clean, keep leaving those nice gaps between your licks and keep enjoying it! Respect across the pond from Scotland.... Cheers! Brian.
