she was wearing braces at that time, so i think it makes her sound a lil bit awkward. you dont need to have slang just to speak i english. speak any way that u want as long its understandable

hate to say, if it wasn't for my husband (who is a malaysian), I would probably never watched malaysian dream girl. If this is put on internet for the "international" viewers, then it's better to speak EVERYTHING in English (with or without the accent). I know alot of malaysian dont have the "accent", if any of you like malaysian accent so much, why even bother to speak English?
It's natural to have an accent..French ppl have french accents, Australians have australian accents, Americans have american accents etc so, Malaysians have malaysian accents! I think what you mean here by 'accent' is actually 'slang', whereby pronounciations often go wrong (like Jug becomes 'Chug' and Dam or Time becomes 'tam')That I agree is not very 'international'..Basically, speak proper English, whatever your accent.
Also what I meant is that during the show, they were also speaking malay, or adding malay in their words, making it even harder to understand. If you want to make the show international or you want to become an international model, it's very important to make sure people can actually understand you.

Can you give me some example of the international models that mixes up languages? Do you see the two model hostess have malaysian accents or mixing up malay with english? Either speak in your home language or ENGLISH, it's that simple.

Hanis makes a sweet innocent impression on me. She could improve on her posing. I think she would make a better actress than model, her photos aren't as pretty as herself on videocamera.
