  • Ive seen the video from the guy with the tripod but damn I didn't realize he was that close.... lol

  • Nice Dopller Effect :F

  • didn't flinch at all

  • was the train ok?

  • he peed a litlle

  • @apes850 thats abit strong

  • I almost got my head smashed off by an intercity 125 during a piss up with the commuters.

  • lol, there is actually another video of the exact same thing, except it's the guy recording the guy that nearly got hit, right next to him

  • hahahahahahahaha

  • see another point of view - watch?v=lRGJTG8FYAQ, can you spot him in this video?

  • what a wally...

  • wow great reaction time

  • Anyone want scrambled nerd?

  • what a pity he wasnt run over

  • where in suffolk was this?

  • @videobox123 Thurston

  • Bet the driver was listening for the thud of death!

  • What a ducking shipheaded hunt.

  • What a plonker!

  • @diawlbachdunker best post :D

  • balls of steel,

  • MY GOD THAT WAS CLOSE

  • THURSTON!!

  • What a retard I luv trains me then SPLATTTTTT

  • @diawlbachdunker There's nothing wrong with having an interest, but completely agree on the safety part of your argument.

  • Theres Another Video One Youtube Of Another person filming this :L

  • hit 8 to hear "WHOOOOM" lololol :J

  • @1111frannyg You're entitled to your opinion of course and hobbies are highly-subjective things; just like your own prejudiced opinion.

  • keep back from platform edge

    Passing trains cause air turbulence

    stand behind yellow line

  • The one guy who disliked this was the man who nearly got hit.

  • there should seriously be a box in which trainspotters sit in

  • Jesus. He was lucky wasn't he.

  • @diawlbachdunker

well said cliff...i agree with you

  • there is another video of this from another person filming closer

  • @diawlbachdunker What do you mean 'Get a life?' Liking trains is the same as other people liking football etc

  • @diawlbachdunker

At least they get outside instead of spending their life trolling on youtube comments.

  • Love the way he doesn't even flinch! Must be Chuck norris in disguise.

  • Aww I couldn't hear the YOOHOOO

  • brilliant!!

  • Do you see how slow the reaction of that idiot was,he probably lives in a quiet town full of old ladys and this is the only action he gets

  • @citroeno Great comment mate, you really added to the constructive comments on this page...

  • what a dozy idiot. STAY ON THE PLATFORM or atleast a safe distance from the track. As a daily commuter I unfortunately see idiots like this every time a remotely old train is around.

  • bloady hell that was close

  • Wow - the guy barely flinched too - he must do this all the time!

  • he should be reported for putting his own life and others at risk

  • Fellow Train spotters please be careful! Someone got hit at Marks Tey last year taking a photo.....

  • at 0:36.....sound like F1 going pass.....thumb up!!!!

  • now i like trains myself and i'm thining of posting an interesting bit of film on here in the near future , but standing where that prat was standing is just a no no .

ok he was trying to get the picutre of the steam train which was a wonderfull lookng train but how do you then upload to the computer if your in a box in peice's .

    think people think

  • i aggree with diawlbachdunker and cliffbrook 100% .

i work as a firefighter LFB and the amount of times me and my mates have been called to a one under , that's 999 speak for person under a train by the way .

the idiot train spotter clearly is more interested in getting hiis picture then his safety .

if the train had caught the prat at that speed he would have either been killed or badly badly hurt .

  • @rob123474 Not to be needlessly morbid I hope, but do you know if most of those are deliberate or accidents? I only ask because the guy in this video would have definitely been an accident but I always just assumed that most people who end up getting hit by a train at a station are trying to kill themselves.

  • he was this close

    __________ yep that close

  • Erm, anyone got any spare under pants with them!!!

  • Listen to the burp at 0:16- 0:18 seconds!

  • It's idiots like him that give the real enthusiasts a bad name, blatant disregard for the rules & his own safety :o I say there is nothing wrong with getting your video/pictures as long as you observe the proper guidelines & keep away from the track side.

  • ignoring the guy who almost got hit, (although it was very close) why does the steam train have a class 37 at the back of it?

  • @joetorsneyTrains To pull the train back in the other direction, or incase the steam engine breaks down :-)

  • @sonconmas thanks :)

  • I couldn't agree more. I'm a train driver and have often seen this type of blatant disregard for personal safety. Is it any wonders why Network Rail are slowly removing the ramps from platform ends and putting up fencing?

  • Just looks like one of those stupid steam veg

  • That why you have to stand at the platform and not so closes to the running lines.

  • My god that was a closes one.

  • @diawlbachdunker well said!

  • my mates uncle gets to try and guess who person is from what evers the most undamaged

  • I'm puzzled as to why he didn't pan with the loco and get the "going away" shot, in which case he would have seen the approaching DMU and, presumably, got out of the way.

  • I wonder if he brought some spare Underpants !

  • I think if the train did him he would have gone flying into the crowd killing more people. what a dumbass.

  • a few more centimetres and he would have been done for

  • very slow reflexes, moved away like an hour after just getting hit

  • I like to see his footage

  • maquinist does NEAR MISS!

  • @diawlbachdunker I can't agree more, I work on the ambulances and have to pick up the body parts, if we can find them, when people get hit by trains. Not at all nice.

  • FAKE

  • @1madaboutguitar No not a fake.

  • @PTR01981 it is, this is Railworks, its a game on the PC.

  • @1madaboutguitar Your fake.

  • @1madaboutguitar how can it be fake it's a video that someones taken anyway it certainly ain't fake i was there

  • @wallaces44 Who are you trying to kid?

  • @1madaboutguitar: If this is fake then I am Johnny Depp, which I am not!

  • @1madaboutguitar THIS IS NOT FAKE. I SAW IT ON THE NEWS THE EVENING IT HAPPENED.

  • @dkbmaestrorules Just who are you trying to kid?

  • @1madaboutguitar This comment has received too many negative votes

  • Why does a 9F have a A4 Chime whistle if I'm correct?

  • @WaerzMedia09 because that is not a 9F, this is a Brittania standard pacific, a 4-6-2, not a 2-10-0

  • @trainlover658

Oh right, I never noticed that. I was too concentrated around the man nearly being hit by the Turbostar.

  • Nearly all the Enthusiasts on the platform were breaking the yellow line/ yellow paving slabs. They're put there for a reason people! I'm a Driver and I see passengers standing too close to the line all the time, but this takes the mickey. Sad thing for Enthusiasts nationwide is that the more you break the rules, the harder it will be for special charters to run.

  • why the hell are people interested in trains?

  • @flashash2k9

why the hell are people who are not interested in trains commenting on a train video taking the mick of people who are interested in trains?

  • @flashash2k9 Because thats what takes their interest, just like sports, cars, bikes, boats etc

  • Just one step back and this video would have made me laugh a little louder!

  • Class 170 FAIL

  • What a bell end...

    For been a trainspotter

  • i want to see his video

  • I would like to see his video,a very close call

  • Nearly dead

  • Nice footage of the Oliver Cromwell, too! Shame that the country that brought us "The Railway Series" is now using diesel pushers on its steam excursions!

  • @HighIronofWisconsin Not pushing, providing train heating and braking. Steam Locos generally aren't fitted to provide the correct braking for more modern carriages. You'll find the 37 would have barely been ticking over, and Cromwell would have been doing all the haulage work.

  • @MrRWJP Well, that's a relief.

  • Trainspotters eh? Just proves what a bunch of muppets they are! lol

  • @NewLabourTwats Ahahaha hilarious, no because if we are all muppets why wasnt everyone doing what he was doing?

  • there is another guy that was filming this same guy and he was next to him and you can see him standing next to that victim on your video

  • wow he nearly died but its still cool

  • fantastic piece of film .....

  • Even though he had a lucky escape standing next to when the turbostar nearly killed him a bad place for train enthusiasts to stand next to whlist filming this steam train go by without noticing oncoming trains without stopping at high speed.

  • Your video should have a lot more views... you had a way better an angle and stayed fixed on the guy!

  • @WILLP0WERS It has now had lots of views but not here, on Nippon TV, Japan

  • Despite all the hysteria about this bloke, if you look at 0:39 he is standing the correct side of the white edging line , and in fact is probably less close than other people actually on the platform.

  • @casitacaravan That white line marks the edge of the platform not the sfaety line, had he been any near the track he would have been on the track. The saftey line can be seen at 0:44 as yelolow profiled bricks on the plateform about 2 foot to the right of the white line.

  • @Cliffbrook1 the profile bricks are called tac tiles and are set 4ft from the platform edge to warn blind people the are getting too close,

  • @casitacaravan I'm with Cliff. This guy's a tool. It's the same in Australia, the white line is the edge of the platform, the yellow line is the safety line.

  • This view is the best!

  • Those steps must have been sooooooo close to his hip... looks like just less than a foot to me.

  • i see people are now starting to re uplaod your video...

  • This video is superior to the one getting played on television.

    PS:

    Is that the Hogswart's Express?

  • @jsl151850b

    nooooo, why would it be......

  • @jsl151850b No lol Olton Hall is a completley different loco and Thats red lol. Cromwell is a brit and green 0.o

  • Cliff Brook could you post this as a video responce to my dozey trainspotter video please
