@rareisalive Well, picture Jethro Tull or Neil Diamond singing this. It wouldnt work, this music requires these kinds of vocals. Any thing else would sound silly. My friends who are in to regular old rock seem to have the same problem with brutal death metal. They play some tool or some rush and there all, "nobody can play drums or nobody can play guitar better or faster" Then i throw on sum Orgin and im like "oh yeah, listen to this".Then they give it no cred because they dont like the vox.BS

@a1b15 It seriously pisses me off, there all "the bassist from Tool is a genius" and im like "okay, i agree that hes pretty darn good, But the bassist from Crytopsy is just as good and he's faster". They just shrug it off and say that speed doesnt mean a thing... At which point i want to pull my hair out and shake them violently till they see my point. To be able to play with speed and accuracy is a feat of its self. Classic rock buffs for some reason fail to recognize this point.
