I was wondering about the legality of this, since a 300 dollar launcher just sounds too good to be true. Is it a NFA item and do you need to pay a tax on it or do you need a class 3 license?
@TheCUOAG Actually no, this is not an NFA item. It would become an NFA item if you choose to fire anything destructive out of it. I ONLY fire a variety of different flares out of it. Check out their website. I got mine in the mail from them.
@cv0lv0g0 No, they are just considered flare guns. You can get 12 gauge adapters but if you shoot anything other than 12 gauge flares it is considered an SBS, so keep that in mind.
@TheTurtlehead agreed there are airosft m203 launchers stick with those, putting the spike launcher on an airsoft would invite bad publicity to both the airsoft and firearms community. its like trying to use a real knife for melee tag for airsoft games
@Vietboy1st I got my 37mm at: spikestacticaldotcom
The shells were kind of hard to find. I got mine at: militarygunsupplydotcom
But, I had to actually go to the store in Fort Worth and buy them. I don't even know if they still carry them. You can always call and ask. Good luck!
@youcrazy91 Good question, I'm not sure. I've been thinking about switching it over to my AK and getting Spikes NEW 37mm launcher. It kicks like shooting a 12 gauge slug. I think you'll be fine, those rails can take a lot of abuse.

Always fire the flare into the wind. This way it blows across your objective. The longer it lingers, the longer you can shoot.

@dewan05 They can be pretty expensive. I got mine from a place called Military Gun Supply (Google them) for $40 a box. Each box had 10 rounds.

does the launcher have any kick that would fuck up a aluminum quad rail on an ak?
