  • i would come in with a NY satellite truck and use the 5" master stream

  • Nyeh, Palmyra......sucks

  • i agree... we do that at my station but it ends up turning into a game of knock the helmet off the opponent... it hurts when you lose...but its fun

  • @HalflifeDream Private message sent.

  • @HalflifeDream You know, those who use those $20 words in everyday conversation are said to have mental issues. Go ahead, google it. Oh, wait, I am new to this...silly me. Yeah, ok, back to you: Hey, you want to call me a loser, have at it. I know who I am, what I have and how I got it and I most certainly don't need your approval or acceptance to validate it.

  • @HalflifeDream You can use your psychobabble all you want, I have all day to do this...yawn. You have no need to support "my argumentative needs" but yet you insist on responding. God this is fun, just to watch you reply and reply and reply...and I am the nut. Must be my senile dementia kicking in. LMAO. What a lame douche...sorry, but, it is so obvious. Ok, ok, ok, you have no respect for me or anyone else, got it, but, still, your a trip. Still LMAO at you.....

  • @HalflifeDream To further that, I must ask you, how many burning buildings you been in? How many dead kids have you carried to a rig to try and bring back? None I dare venture to guess. How many times have you looked into the eyes of someone who is dying and had that haunting look seared into your memory. I think you are just a little punk who thinks he has the world by the ass. Well remember, my job is to save your ass, not kiss it.

  • @HalflifeDream Yeah, I am fire trained and have been in public safety for going on 20 years. Thanks for asking. Of that, 10 in the fire service and all of it in ems as a medic in some of the worst cities in the country. I have worked volunteer as well as career. You still didn't answer my question, but then again, I wouldn't expect someone who sits anonymously behind a computer keyboard criticizing others to do so. I have seen more crap in one week than most see in a lifetime.

  • @HalflifeDream Cont'd: This type of training is very common, particularly with new members of a department. Considering that the vast majority of FF's in the US are volunteer, it makes sense as fire scenes are not something they run on everyday. So while I may be arguing, as you put it, the reality is it is more of your latter statement, pointing out the obvious to you. And until you retract your glib statement about being wasteful, you will remain Halfpipe. Also, it takes two to argue.

  • @HalflifeDream You don't seem to get it, do you. You have failed to address my argument with your statement about wasting taxpayers dollars. Let me ask you this, are you or have you ever been trained and worked in the fire service. My suspicion, based on your statements. is no. Yes, a lot of firefighters train in low/no pressure scenarios to familiarize themselves with the equip., etc. This way, in the event of an emergency, there is no panic and they go in and do the job,

  • @HalflifeDream Halfpipe - I know what I said and I said what I meant. No incidental in that statement. How does it build teamwork, one, did you see the barrel hanging above them that moves back and forth with the water? That is the goal, move it to the other teams side. Those hoses kick with immense force and you have to rely on the person behind you to help you get the job done. This time it is a barrel, the next time it could be your house....

  • @n4ems So while it is fun and games here, the training is valuable. But you were too self absorbed with making the snide comment about tax payers money at work. So yeah, you need to get over yourself. You are upset about it, otherwise you wouldn't have made the snide comment in the first place. And if you think that all firefighters do is fight fire, you have a LOT to learn.

  • That looks fun as hell!

  • @HalflifeDream OK halfpipe. what should they be doing? Did you find out the facts behind WHY they were doing this? Maybe it is for charity? No, couldn't be, FF's never do charity work. How about to build teamwork and comradery, something absolutely critical in FF'ing. Nope. Just jump on the cynical band wagon and sit on your a** until you need something, then who do you call? Yeah. Why don't you take your comment, shove it up your a** and get over yourself.

  • OMG!!! That shit can fuck up your eyes, this dudes are crazy.

  • its waterball to help them get better accuracy

  • woulda been better to see the one team spray the other team and see them fly backwards

  • Hey I thought that was funny beats using water pistols

  • criminalfish there havin abit of fun and blowin off some steam doing there job and seein some of the stuff those poor lot have 2 deal with ya cant blame them 4 having some fun when they can

  • wow... what a waste of water.

  • @criminalfish

waste of water?.........the earth is made of 2/3rds of it!

  • we have a water shortage in australia

  • Well who's fault is it for living in australia? Besides, you guys are surrounded by water, your government's just too cheap to invest in distillation plants.

  • your an idiot.

  • Water which is projected from the hoses is absorbed by the environment and will eventually be released back into the atmosphere either through evaporation or cellular respiration from plants. As water molecules condense in the upper atmosphere, they form clouds, then condense further into larger water droplets before falling back to Earth, something we call rain. Now if you can explain to me how that perpetual cycle can be considered wasteful, I'll admit I'm an idiot.

  • honestly, my jaw dropped when i read this, lol... very well put. you have earned a thumbs up!

  • @MagMag123 Pumping it up requires vast ammounts of energy, and so does treatment.

  • @Serostern how wasteful is it when these guys can move like that in a your house when its on fire, news flash not all fun is pointless, not when it helps us do what we do better, faster, and in a safer manner!

  • @FyrFyter616 No shit sherlock. Ofcourse all training is useful.

I was merely commenting on MagMags statement that it is a prepetual cycle when it is NOT.

  • WAFRA sponsers the firefighter games here. We have it during a local festival in the park. Loads of fun. Some departments come from 80 miles away to participate. The bank gives out prizes.

  • my my thats a awful lot of hose..

  • haha i wish my dept. did that

  • i did a training like this in the academy... good stuff

  • It is pretty fun! Good training on water stream control also.

  • DUDE thats awesome!

  • lol, thats looks like alot of fun

  • That Must have been fun :D

  • those hoses can be pretty painful...

  • Yea thats a lot of pressure lol

  • NICE!!!! I wish we had something like this at our station.

  • i think its safe to say the left team won

  • i did this back in cub scouts onley it took about 100 of us to hold the hose
