  • it is weird that vw didn't use a diesel engine. diesel makes more sense for luxury cars in america because most luxury cars recommend or require premium and diesel costs about as much. The biggest reason why diesel isn't as popular in america for regular cars is because regular gasoline is usually significantly cheaper than diesel

  • wtf is he speaking? russian?

  • @jurx7 Dutch

  • Another great review, thanx for upload ;)

  • uh, wout... er zit iets op je hoofd....

  • Had BMW ook geen X6 hybrid?want dan zou Audi dus niet de eerste zijn.

  • Perfect review. That's why I come back to this channel.

  • I tire of the references to carbon emitted per gallon or mile driven. If you don't want to emit harmless carbon dioxide, then ride a horse.

  • @order9066 Well, unfortunately for you, emissions figures are important to the majority of Europeans shopping for cars. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

  • Hey guy, who are you?... wait a minute!...... ohhh i know you!

  • Could anyone tell me the music in the video please~(especially the part from 0:03~0:26) I love it so much~

  • this SUV its better than the BMW X6 or not????

  • @Pacom3morex

Is the BMW X6 good for anything really? lol

  • is it the first video with this guy having hair?

  • @Josekpl Nope the second one

  • You always bring very interesting stuff up for normal people who can perhaps buy the stuff you present. Thank you very much for another great great video autoblogger!!

  • That's alot of head tan Wouter, did you also get into a boxing match? @autoblogger

  • a good review...compliments!!!

  • Beetje dubbel he, zo'n bak maaaarrr, wel hybrid. Koop dan een kleine auto dan is die waarschijnlijk nog zuiniger.

  • its not that the U.S. prefers gas/petrol its that it is very hard for a diesel car/suv to pass emissions here

  • @Dz493 what do you mean? Here in europe diesel engines polute less than similar sized/power petrol.

  • Comment removed

  • @Dz493 Modern diesel engines pollute less than petrols...so thats not a problem. Problem is american ignorance and lack of knowledge. Most americans still think of diesels as slow, smokey, weak engines that sound like tractors....they dont realize modern diesels are far more advanced than petrols and beat them in every way, except sound.

  • @derbigpr500 economy, environment, torque... yes. Driving enjoyment, outright pace, no ( don't bring up Lemans, most of that is down to economy and rulings) and as you mentioned, not sound either. They have their place though, if you want something economical or that tows with ease and you don't care about output or sound, it's perfect. Also, they're not more advanced, yes they use direct injection, but so do many petrols. In my mind they're perfect for hybrid powertrans as well. :)

  • @jcadlols You dont know have much experience with diesels, do you? :P Diesel cars offer same driving enjoyment and MORE outright pace than petrols. They offer more usable performance. You can overtake with diesel engines much faster than with petrols, they accelerate faster from low-rpm, they accelerate faster at high speeds. They're quieter at high speeds since you can drive 200 kmh at under 3000 rpm.... and yes. Diesel engines are more advanced than petrols, take some time and find out.

  • @derbigpr500 haha, two volvo 480's in our sunseeker 46... Small deisels sound bad, large ones sound badass. Acceleration from low rpm, yeah, sure it's better than petrol. But make sure you're not comparing that with a normally aspirated petrol... try a normally aspirated diesel for performance. A petrol will always be quicker overall as it's power is over a far wider rev range. Don't get me wrong, deisels are great... but there's a reason why no sportscar has one.

  • @derbigpr500 , diesels pollute more than petrol does. Especially more NOx which is the number one ingredient for creating smog. Also a diesel puts out more carbonparticles which is the numer one reason for people getting astma. They are also the numer one reason for airborne solid particles which is also really bad for peoples lungs.

And advanced... not really. Diesels should be banned for private use. Every single country on this planet knows that. Only europe is ignorant.

  • @metro2002 Everything you said is wrong.

  • @Dz493 Diesel produces less emmisions than petrol except in NOX. Problem is taxes, i dont know in other countries, but in mine diesel has less taxes than petrol, and people begun to choose diesel 10 years ago. When demand surpases the offer, i dont know what will happen with the price. By the way, to make diesel is much expensive than petrol.

  • @Dz493 the price of diesel is the same as gas here(by me in Illinois) thats not the problem. The U.S. is at Euro 6 compare to Euro 5 emissions everywhere else so in order to pass involves the use urea or a redesign engine both involve money that affects the company and buyers

  • We need more TDIs in N. America. I would buy an A4 TDI in a heartbeat.

  • Yes. Please keep that thing in the US and in China.

    But as always: Nice review!
