Explanation of my ADD.... its 3 a.m.... I got online to watch the installation of the upper and lowers of some rifle kits... that lead me to watching rifles being shot... that lead to videos of 10,000 frame per seconds videos of the impact of riffle rounds on half in thick steel sheets... which lead me to this... I will now go to google in an attempt to find answers to what this video means lol... i will not sleep tonight... thanks man for uploading this video!
well, obviously, seen here, uh, the thing shoots out a white ball, then after getting bigger and flatter, it splits into skittles, then from there, it goes into a loop de loop, then goes in a computer. Thus letting you see the rainbow.
Oh I get it! the white dots turn into bigger dots, which makes them into many rainbow dots which reflects off of water and back into the... roller coaster... which makes.... a camera. I don't know.
6 million frames per second. Reading the description helps. It's just a computer simulation showing the design. The first part is probably a laser aimed through the lenses and a prism. The blue stream is what they are capturing an image of. The light that isn't absorbed bounces back through the lenses and is reflected on a one-way mirror through fiber optic cable, where white light is mixed in from both ends, probably to stretch the signal out into different colors. Then hits a sensor.
@DJxOCEANx There's a guy on YouTube who basically blends anything people ask him to. He even became YouTube partner that way. Will it blend is his catchphrase.
Got pretty old to me after I realised that at some point all he did was commercials.
White light is spatially separated into colours, each colour then detects one 'pixel' of an image. Putting the colours back makes white balls again, where each white ball equals one 'frame'. Going through the loopings, dispersion lets colours travel at different speeds, so the 'pixels' are separated in time. But I don't know what the 'milk' does.
To all the people saying "what did I just watch" it is quite obvious what this shows. It is how a system works to capture light and expel it on a screen basically showing how a lens works but on a larger scale. Finish school you retards -.-'
So this video is claiming that they have a camera which can film light photons travel through mirrors and lenses, and as well as being able to capture these particles smoothly which would mean it's taking millions of frames per second, it can also pan round this table at the same time, this whole video if played in real time would take roughly 0.000001 of a second. Have you seen a camera that can move that fast? I'm surprised I'm the first person to say this.... FFFAAKKEE!!!!
@kipandcop1 I was just doing the same calculation ! The mean used to capture these images can't be any one we know today . So... we are no more dealing with true world here . Magic mirror ? A light slowing down device ? Jeeezuss ?
I agree, with so many people who are not likely to actually care about anything in school, add a narrator so it sounds cool to them. I thought it was cool, but I still would like a narrator to know what is going on. I like engineering and physics, but I don't have experimental optical equipment in my room that I am designing all the time. Consider making a narration to go along with the video?
So they turn a ball of crap into skittles, then turn it back into a ball of crap after bouncing it off of water, force it to ride a rollercoaster, collide it with milk, then put it through a camera????
@Peon546 Then we get to see their little rollercoaster face snap shot expressions covered in milk. And then they look for one freaking out. That's the one we want. It's a very scientific process...
@mrme150 just what is wrong with u? what exactly is FAKE in this video? please i want to hear your expert opinion...just how the fuck do you think your phones fucking camera works huh?
@Validole Laser impules are photons :) Photon = messenger particle of the electromagnetic spectrum ... part of which is visible and invisible "light".
@Goldiney Okay, before I answer, I'd like to ask which part of the animation you disagreed with? Just to make sure you and me are not talking about the fence and the hole in it, respectively, as a physics student, I am aware of some of the interpretations of what a photon, light and a laser is.
Ahhhh, ok so first they take the blobs, they take them apart, then they dip them in the water, sort them by colour and reassemble them, then they are mixed with the milk after which the computer eats them.
Man, you would really think someone going to UCLA would be smart enough to realize no one gives a shit about how the camera works (not that this video even explains that), we want to see some footage.
@tapelegs To get some footage, you need to build the camera. To build the camera, you need moniez. To get moniez you need to show big-bellied bankers that the idea is worth funding. BBB-s usually don't understand technology, so you need to have shinies to distract them during the product description. Shinies must be related to the product, just in case. BBB-s don't want to admit that they missed the whole talk, and wouldn't have understoodi t anyway, so they shell out. Result: Profit! and vids.
