you need a better processor thats why you get those pauses, i know cause it was happening to me too till i got a quad core processor, mine was only like 200 bucks and it makes everything run pretty smooth, so hope this helps.

my processor is slow indeed, but thats not the reason why its having pauses. The reason for those pauses to be happening is that im recording the video on my slower and fragmented hard drive. After relocating the record area to my newer,faster and defragmented drive, the pauses disappeared (as you can see on my succeeding videos). Quad cores are future proof indeed but PCSX2 only takes advantage of dual core CPU's for now, so the fastest dual core is currently the best one for PCSX2.

you can emulate ps2 games on pcs less than 1000$ now :P alot less i think,you only need a 200$cpu

a good but not great graphics card,and 2gb of ram ddr2,and a mb to slap that on,those things are 400$ i bet you got the rest of the parts

finding a ps2 for sale is kinda hard right now

no you dont have to at all gsdx is for directx9 too,theres a plugin for that too right now and its just as good only its faster on xp

theres Gsdx9 too just as good and fast,directx10 wont help much in improving the performance,cause the os uses alot of resources,i know what im talking about xp+gsdx9 is better,oh and theres 2 gsdx9 :P

gsdx the one u need(chose 9 or 10 by configuring it) and gsdx9 only works slower

there are many models of dual core ranging from cheap and slow to fast but expensive, in my opinion you should just try buy a real PS2 ;)

that will depend on the game, more or less your CPU will be fine in some cases but things can still be slow. Upgrading the video card would help since you have a very old incompatible video card, but the CPU is still the most improtant factor since the whole PS2 hardware is emulated via the CPU.

Sadly, your video card is way too weak, and lacks certain features that both graphic plugins require (Zero and GSDX9) which is at least Shader Model 2.0/3.0 support. You can run it in software mode but that would be slow. Your CPU is also pretty old and wont be that fast to handle the emulator (PCSX2 requires a good dual core CPU to run faster)
