U might want to consider an epicenter by audio control to catch those low notes ....i have 3 of these in a sealed box in my 05 ram single cab and they hit real heavy....

I have the cvx and had the same problem as you. The reason your sub won't hit certain notes is because your box is too big. Max your box should be 2.25 cu ft, 1.5 - 1.75 cu ft and that sub will play everything beautifully. Get a new box and you will be much happier trust me!

Its always seemed to work for me and sound better but if you reverse the sub face it twords the back, you'll probably notice a slight improved bass sound because well from my expereince the bass sounds better after resinating off a wall or surface in a car vs direct bass to the sub, just a little tip who knows it might be slightly deeper too

@robertmendozanasty I used to have 1 12 inch p1 fosgates but they sucked lol. The space underneath my seats is very limited. I need to make another box for this one just a little smaller tho so I can put it behind my driver's seat. Before thise setup i had 2 8" cvrs in a ported box underneath my seat. I made it too(took forever lol). Hit harder than the 2 p1s lol.

@Jvilleman31 Dude this thing gets low...... but like all the others, if you want the most output, build a box to specs. I will upload another vid of it playing "no hands" by waka flaka, now that shit hits low and for just about the whole song. That is the only song i have ever smelt the voice coil burning. Which is another reason y i love kicker. They can take abuse like champs.

dam kid, u can build a fucking box lol. i just bought my 2010 15" cvx and im having a custom box made just for my ext. cab ranger. i have it in a EXTREMLY small box in my expedition right now. check it out sometime. i have a few vid.s of it up. its still in the break-in period so i didnt turn it up to much. and its in a small sealed enclosure.let me know

Thanks bro. Yea man I am sure with an L7 it would hit just as hard. As long as it is in the right enclosure. It sounds awesome in my truck because it is like sitting right next to u but it is awesome. The box was initially supposed to go behind my driver seat but I accidently built it too big and it is uncomfortable to have it behind me. So just having it in the middle works out. I love kicker, you get bang for your buck, and stick with their top of the line woofers like cvx, L7's,
