Since in your mind (amused by it as a child) found it to be an enchanting plot-line you'd thought you'd imagined it as you started to recall. I thought I made up a shell bra-less blonde mermaid animation, turns out it's Hans Christiansin's The Little Mermaid. It came out before Disneys & is true to the fairytale. =D
