Amasing how stuch a small locomotive can pull a long passenger train. It looked like te engine was struggeling to pull it, that might explain the loud puffing noise.
i have seen other thomases "pulling" trains only to find the dreaded diesel at the back or another steam engine. this one is the real deal though, doing all the work!
Thomas looks different at the beginning lol

Just amazing this particular Thomas can pull all those cars! Seems like the Strasburg RR has one of the better "Day Outs" in the country.

All we need is for CSX to buy that Thomas engine, spray their paint scheme, and let me switch in the yard with it.

I think Thomas's whistle sounds more like Henry's whistle

For a locomotive that "chuffs" loudly, that whistle doesn't fit it at all! Thomas, that is. Cool though!

For 18 dollars a ticket this ride should have been longer. My opinion.

They are trying to bring the engine back to Phillipsburg, NJ next year.

Any idea where this 'live' Thomas came from or who owns it? Great video by the way.

I saw this train at Tamaqua, PA. I took a shortcut through this town in my truck and when I stopped at a redlight, this train was parked there.

What was the banging noise in the first runby?
pennsyrailfan 2 years ago
The banging noise was construction on a house down the road.

Well, the other "Thomas" engines you've been seeing are dummy engines that have no real boiler to power them...
