These guys are good. There were some technical problems with the guitar effects. Eric has some showman talents. He is not just some guy who plays guitar. He is a performer.
Just because people do not recognize him as a big name star they think he has to perform cover tunes as close to the original as possible and is graded with that yardstick. Set aside the distracting problems breaking concentration of the band, close your eyes and enjoy the music.
I'm the guitar player and I think the bass player is a drunk ass in this video - in fact, as I remember - he was - anyway i may have been slightly indulgent - however this seems pretty cool to me except that clam at 7:10 - this is the first time I've listened to myself on youtube - E -
Total destruction of a truly great song, guitar player should let more focus be on the band even on a blues guitar song such as this, good talent, simple song,... Just tried to make too much of it and himself. Sorry.
Not really a blues song. Not trying to copy Trower, just trying to do a good version of a good song. If you have ever seen Trower (I have, several times) he gets pretty out front with his guitar as well. But each to his own taste.
@wavydavey Drunk ass bass player or not the show was good. deragon76 is not someone whose musical opinion I would think much about. I checked out his site and his only music favorites are Brittney Spears and a version of Season of the Witch by Hole. I have several versions of this great tune and this is the only bad one.
The vibe went off a bit but these guys do a great version of a very cool song anyway. I really love the variations of little riffs and chords blended from the original song stirring it up and spitting it out like this. There are other performances of this by these guys here. Search YouTube.
Love these guys---some of the best tone out there----ABY Fenders, 2 tube screamers, a Script 90, and a deja vibe. Vocals are awesome. The bass player, Jonny A, knocks me out. Have seen them 4X and have all of there recordings.
