  • OMG! 太棒了!!!

  • thank for the translation at least i got the meaning

  • i haven't been back to china for a while and this song makes me miss my birthplace more... >_<

  • 蘭舟者睡床也!

  • SO beautiful! Love China) Greetings from Ukraine)

  • I LOVE CHINA <3 I wish I could go there somday !

  • Soft voice,beatiful pictures.

  • Oh ! Three Jealous persons dislikes ... Trois personnes jalouses n'aiment pas ...3 غيورين لا يحبون

  • @MrAlgerian4 I don't know what they didn't like about this song. You are right. They are jealous because they can't relax their minds and hearts! Loosen up.

  • @jun37567 Yes there is no other explanation ^^

I LOVE CHINA, J'AIME LA CHINE, انا احب الصين

  • Thank you for translation. Like all traditional chinese music this is gracefull.

  • 不知道为什么,虽然从小到大写的是简体字,但是我就是看得懂繁体字.....繁体字肯定要保留的,用毛笔字写繁体字最好看了

  • perfect

  • perfect

  • 這嘛說吧 如果在國家權力頂端的人有學術 那國家就會重學術

    :)

  • @myshinestars 這麽想是不對的。 有學術才能有權力, 但是有權力后他(他可以是很多人)不想讓別人有學術去跟他爭權力.

  • they should make more of this kinda music, really something that sooth your soul, and eventhough i dont understand it, my heart feells the song. Nowadays the music just full of crap, doesnt really mean anything!!! i enjoy this very much, thanks so much for uploading this!!!

  • I read this 月满西楼 in the seventy when I was in secondary school. It is a very sad poetry... Li Qinzhao was longing for her hubby who was forced to join the army after their newly wedded, and he never return from the war.

  • OMG I HEARD THIS SONG IN A CHINESE BUFFET ONCE!! i fell in love with it right away .. i jstu love songs like this :3 favorited!:P

  • beautiful. And your English is fine!

  • so sad

    shes singing nice.

  • I have to agree with what is said though, english is different, and isn't capable of translating such a beautiful language in poetry form.

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.... Thank you so much for posting this, it is truly and deeply beautiful.

  • Maby it sounds a bit silly but I've always been fascinated by chinese music, culture and language.. beautiful.. =)

  • 李清照真的好棒的女词人~人比黄花瘦~我哭

  • omg so beautiful

  • Es una cancion muy hermosa, muy dulce y triste a la vez, gracias por subirla

  • Thanks for uploading and your efforts for translation. It certainly helps to bring out the beauty and the essence of Chinese culture. Ancient Chinese poetry is so beautiful!!! I did learn dozens of Chinese peoms by heart in the elementary shcool, only now after 30 years did I realised how subtlely they had enriched my life. Thanks for my teachers and all these great poets!Good piece of art lasts forever.

  • xie xie!

  • I love ancient chinese poetry. It's so much meaning, so much deepness. Part of my studies was to interpret and understand chinese poetry. This music is great for meditation too.

  • la claridad de la luna envuelve al Pabellón del Oeste

las flores se marchitan pero las aguas fluyen como siempre igual que nuestro amor dos lugares distintos: una misma tristeza

que quisiera detener pero no puedo

  • 红藕香残玉簟秋,轻解罗裳,独上兰舟。

    云中谁寄锦书来?雁字回时,月满西楼。

    花自飘零水自流,一种相思,两处闲愁。

    此情无计可消除,才下眉头,却上心头。

  • gorgeous song! thanks for sharing!

  • @atta1000 well if someone is 方learning chinese as a foreign language i think chinese is the hardest language to learn if you come from a western language.

  • hen hao ^^

  • wow this is really beautiful... i love it...

  • 汉字博大精深,要翻译成英文就很难表达全,意境全失

  • extraordinary song~~~thanks for sharing!

  • Anyone know of any CD's I could buy that has this song on it as well as others similar to it? Thanks!

  • really beautiful music and wonderful lyrics!

i think Ryz05 's translation is about right although i think it is difficult to translate it into english because there are chinese associations with certain things that cant be expressed in english

  • The voice is so sweet that it almost melt me XD!

  • 其實不是剪刀的剪吧??

    應該是一「翦」梅

  • 兩字相通

  • 可能是简体字人繁体字的差别吧。简体字就是用剪,所以说繁体字对于古文的表现力远胜简体字。

  • @qqqqfss

    你的观点十分的怪异。不论是简体,还是繁体,两者承载的信息量完全是一样的。你看书时候会去把一个字一个字地独立出来看它是六书里的哪一条么?我们看的是句子,看的是词。因为这种情况,所以繁体根本不会在“传达信息”方面优于简体。

  • 這是李清照的詞

    笨蛋

  • The poem is so sad!

  • so beautiful. i am falling asleep having a great dream now. wake me up when it is over. is this girl married? i want to marry her. she sings so beautifully.

This feeling is impossible to ignore, just as it falls off the tips of the eyebrows, it lands on the tip of the heart.

  • 用英文來寫要那麼長 用中文字精美凝練 中文真是太美了!

  • Thank you for sharing. This is my rough translation.

  • Hello somebdysomeday: I agree with and like your translation. Translation to colloquial and grammatically correct English invariably diminishes the artistic, emotional and melodic virtues in their Chinese originality. Yet it is the best to convey an accurate message/picture.

Some translations seem to over-interpret and thus erronously introduce thoughts that are not in the poem or as the writer intended. But then neither is a word-for-word translation the best way. Cheers!

  • My command of English and Chinese is limited. Still, I'd like to give a shot at translating the last 2 sentences of this beautiful ancient poem:

There's no way to get rid of this sad sentiment.

I just brushed it away from my eyebrows, and it jumped right back onto my heart.

  • The singer's voice is so soft, so beautiful.

  • The poem is very beautiful. I fell in love with it. So graceful, but it is sad. I love the sound of the instrument in the beginning. I think it's a stringed instrument. Can someone please tell me exactly what instrument the artist is playing at the beginning of the song? It's so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your music and the poem. Both are very beautiful. Your English is pretty good.

  • Chinese traditionl instruments

    Guzheng ,Yangqin,Pipa and so on

  • thank you!

  • Gu Zheng, "古筝" in Chinese character, a very old intrument.

  • thank you very much. =D

  • May I offer humbly a different meaning. Loosen lightly (my) robe (so as to ease my climb) alone into the boat (might imply she'll also drive). L4 is silent in her asking where her husband is. L5 literally says (when left to themselves) the flower wilts away and water flows. It may imply that she is the flower and her husband water and both are separated. My take is that she brings up the two processes to show her sense of helplessness. Great poem, great song. My English & Chinese are so so.

  • Thank you for uploading.

    Our chinese culture is beautiful
