The Chilean Replenishment Tancker "Almirante Montt" AO 52 ( ex USNS Andrew J.Higgins T-AO- 190), today leaving Atlantic Marine Shipyard in Mobile,Alabama USA, going to chile,my country.
In Late March,will arrive at Chile,with five tons humanitarian supplies of the people of Mobile city,for cause of the earthquake and Tsunami,
Thank you. I spent a lot of time there myself. I was an MS and worked in wardroom 2. There was a hatch right by the galley that came out onto the catwalk right there.
After 13 years in reserve,this ship was sold to chile in may 2009 and will be renamed "Almirante Montt" AO 52.Today,this ship is prepare to delievery to chile in Atlantic Marine Shipbuilder and will be transferred in late 2009 or early 2010.
