i have this game. I play i t with my clan, were about 70. we all played bad company 2 and mw2. BUt after we played this game it was the best game ever. Its the most realistic war game ever. You cannot just run in the midle of the map and get kills. Its a team based game and communication is the key to winning this game. You can hear enemys mic if their near. You have to play for the objective or you lose. This is tyhe game in which you prgreed as a player. ITs a tactical game

@mangooseman95 - There is respawn also but it is unranked and for little kids with no patience. Once you play the high intensity songle life mode where your life actually means something, you will be addicted and not go back to boring respawn!

Hell yea man. It's extremely fun if you're relatively patient. It takes a while to get good, but once you get the hang of it it's hard to put down. Just don't expect COD or anything; not that fast paced

I'd say both. But if you can only afford one then it just depends on your style. If you're going for a more casual game where you just run and gun then you're probably gonna want to get Modern Warfare 2. If you want a more tactical experience where you have to take your time and plan out your next move then you'll probably want Socom.

I thought so. I played all the SOCOMs on the PS2 and they were by far my favorite online shooters.

I've played pretty much all the CoD games as well on the 360 and...they're alright, definitely not as good as SOCOM 2 was.

So can you answer this, as someone who is a fan of the SOCOM series, will confrontation disappoint (like the reviews would lead you to believe). Cause I don't have a PS3 atm, but I've been considering getting one now that the price has gone down.

I can't really speak for Socom fans because this is the first Socom game I've played but as for the reviews, no it definitely doesn't disappoint. The only reason it got low scores was because it was super laggy when it first came out. They patched it and now it's virtually lag free.

The bugs are fixed and overall it runs smooth

How fun it is depends on which way your looking at the game...A tactical game or a run and gun..

You could run and gun but you won't last long the better approach is to communicate and work as a team...

The learning curve is also a bit difficult but you'll get used to it...
